It's that time of the year again and surprisingly I didn't see a thread for this so I figured I'd make one.
Anyway, I went to my local comic book store and picked up a few Marvel TPB's because they were all 20% off. I didn't get many free comic books, but I did get the first issue of the Tick signed by the art director Bob Polio (he also rang me up, lol). I plan on going to another chain comic book store a little later to see if I can pick up some more stuff. Anybody else get any cool free stuff?
Oh and the TPB's I picked up were:
Elektra: Assassin X-Men: Origins II Avenger's vs. X-Men: It's Coming Daredevil: Season One
And I plan on getting House of M at the other store.

I got a couple. Haven't read them yet though. I also got an original issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland from April of 1977. Everything was 25% off and $10 grab bags were marked down to $5 and I got a complete run of Hourman in it.

My LCS doesn't participate. I don't even know why it calls itself a comic shop when it mostly just sells used books and that seems to be the majority of its business. It's comic book, graphic novels, etc. selection is awful.
