I don't think there is any one thing. I loved WCW. Raven and Chris Jericho were my two favorite guys and were must see for me on a weekly basis, and I think there was so much talent at the cruiserweight and "midcard" level that was absolutely ridiculous in retrospect. The Oustiders, Giant, Sting, all of the main event guys were so appealing. The shows just felt really complete when it came to talent. They started great with awesome cruiserweight talent, they had incredible midcard level talent with guys like Booker T, Benoit, Hennig, and then the main event scene was jammed with legit Legends. I also miss the competition and the alternative to WWE. 1997 and 1998 was such an amazing time for me as a fan, and WCW was such a huge part of that honestly. Hall, Nash, Savage, Sting, DDP, Raven, Jericho, Eddie, Rey, Benoit, Hennig, Booker T, I was such a fan of so many guys. They had shows in my town 3-5 times a year. Which was 3-5 times more then the WWF did. Also, this. I grew up in Peoria, IL. WWF came once every other year, or at best, once a year. WCW, came a minimum of 3 times a year from 97-00. I saw a bunch of WCW house shows and Thunders, and I also would make the trip to Chicago or Rockford for Nitro when it came through because I was used to going to the local house shows. WCW was just more accessible to me personally.

The NWO and by that I mean the original Three. I also enjoyed Eric Bischoff as a character back then. I simply miss having a company out there that is true competition to WWE, competition breeds growth.
I was thinking yesterday, I wonder what WCW would be like today if it were still around.

Have you watched TNA recently but it all depends, wwe would not be what it is now thats for certain, there would be no TNA either, so to compare with what we have now is rather irrelevant. Talent use, new stars, Things going HD, and going by wcw's style im sure we'd be watching in 3D! (wasnt wrestlemania meant to be 3D in cinemas recently?)

Seeing as they were horrible by the time they closed, you're probably right

seeing what happened to TNA over the last 2 years made me far less optimistic about Bischoffs relaunch.if this was his input in 2010-now I dont imagine his relaunch would have been much different.
maybe at first?but it wouldnt have lasted long IMO.

For all it's faults, i loved WCW. If iam honest i really miss it This will sound strange, but i loved the cosmetics and look of WCW. I always felt it was more pleasing on the eye than WWE. I liked the WCW ring way more than the WWE, even just the little things like putting the logo's on the canvas. The lighting, some of the entrance ways, just my personal preference. They had great PPV names & theme's aswell. Halloween Havoc? What i loved during the 90's, even before the cruiser-weights started invading, they always had better matches on the undercard. In WWE we were always waiting till near the end of the show to see some decent matches from the likes of Owen,Hbk & Bret.

The fact that at one point it had everything for every kind of wrestling fan. You had an awesome story lines with the nWo & Flock for the people who like the "entertainment" side of it. Then you had the awesome cruiserweights and luchas for people who like the highflying wrestling, The luchas also gave the casual fan a good education about lucha libra, especially with all the info Mike Tennay provided. We got to see European/Catch styles of wrestling from people like Regal, Alex Wright, Davey Boy Smith and Fit Finlay We got to see hybrid styles from the wrestlers who travelled the world like Malenko, Jericho, Benoit Guerrero and others. Then Raven came along and brought in the hardcore style. It was really diverse in what you got out of a show, and was something you didn't get in WWF, who still to this day put on the same matches over and over. This nicely ties into what I was going to say, which was; the under card. From mid-1995- mid 1998, WCW's undecard had something for everyone. You could see wrestling, soap operas, hardcore, etc. I loved watching Nitro for the diverisyt pool of talent the company had; Raven, Guerrero, Malenko, Jericho, Regal, cruiserweights, tag team wrestling, etc. It had it ALL!

They had great PPV names & theme's aswell. Halloween Havoc? . yes!!! Halloween Havoc was always a fave. I am amazed that Vince didnt capitalise on this the last couple of years when Halloween fell on the weekend.it surely fit his PG dogma to a effin tee?
