Whats the one thing that stands out about wcw to you? For me its the cage match variations they threw out Obviously tripple cage and 2ring wargames takes the cake, even compared to the Elimination chamber, but even these 2 are different, even though they're just hell in a cells, both real and SD!2 styles ;D

I know this may sound corny, but I loved the feel of it, from the look, the music, the way it was produced and the way it was lighted. It just seemed fun and not to serious

The talent that they had was as good - if not better - than the WWF.

i enjoyed WCW just for the fact that it was something different than WWF. Agreed! More specifically, when I was really in to WCW, I enjoyed it for the nWo, the crow Sting angle, Goldbergs rise, and the cruiserweights. I thought WCW also had some great mid card feuds. Raven/DDP/Kanyon, Benoit/Booker T series, etc.

agreed with its ora, the stage sets, the entrances, the 'lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeets get ready to rumblllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeee' and such, THAT makes it brilliant from what ive watched.

i enjoyed WCW just for the fact that it was something different than WWF. Pretty much this. It's hard to narrow it down to 1 thing. Also, Lewscher, what hardcore match was that in your avatar? Looks epic.

Same here; the fact that it was different from the WWF, introduced lucha libre to a wider audience, had established stars from WWF 'reinvigorated' with new gimmicks in WCW and the crossover appeal with mainstream celebrity America like the Tonight Show and Karl Malone/Dennis Rodman, made it seem amazing back then.

The sound the mat made when someone fell or got slammed on it, oh the memories.

They had shows in my town 3-5 times a year. Which was 3-5 times more then the WWF did.

The fact that at one point it had everything for every kind of wrestling fan. You had an awesome story lines with the nWo & Flock for the people who like the "entertainment" side of it. Then you had the awesome cruiserweights and luchas for people who like the highflying wrestling, The luchas also gave the casual fan a good education about lucha libra, especially with all the info Mike Tennay provided. We got to see European/Catch styles of wrestling from people like Regal, Alex Wright, Davey Boy Smith and Fit Finlay We got to see hybrid styles from the wrestlers who travelled the world like Malenko, Jericho, Benoit Guerrero and others. Then Raven came along and brought in the hardcore style.
It was really diverse in what you got out of a show, and was something you didn't get in WWF, who still to this day put on the same matches over and over.

I enjoyed WCW because it was different. When I was a kid I would play WCW/nWo Revenge with my friend and we'd always go for the tag-team titles. We'd always be Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit. They were my favorite team in WCW and Sting and DDP were my favorite wrestlers. When WCW was really good, they had the right tools to stay on top. But, as soon as they lost it seemed like they just gave up.

This combined with their AWESOME ring that made the coolest sounds

My favourite era of WCW was definitely 1992 - 1994. It ended right when Hogan entered WCW. Then all those ex WWF stars came over and it just felt like WWF circa 1989.

Other then Hogan, Savage, Beefcake and Earthquake I cant think of anymore guys from the "WWF circa 1989" that jumped ship (theres probably one or two more guys but I didnt pay much attention to WCW from 90' to 96').

Honky Tonk Man, Hacksaw Duggan to name a few. Just going from the Dangerous Alliance in 92, to Hollywood Blondes vs. Steamboat & Douglas in 93, to Steamboat vs. Flair in early 94 and then all of a sudden we have Hogan being WCW Champion, Duggan being US Champion, and Honky Tonk Man challenging for the TV Title, it seemed way too WWF for me.
