Hey,
I was just thinking about Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake's 1993 WWF run he had and was just curious as to why it was so short lived. I know he got injured and everything, but they hyped up his big in-ring return and he only wrestled until about June or July of '93 and I believe may have left at the same time Hulk Hogan did. I'm not sure though....
Here's pretty much everything I could find on Beefcake's '93 WWF Run and I believe it's in order too. First, he changed his entrance theme to this:
Then, he did an interview on Monday Night Raw with Vince McMahon:
Followed by another sit-down interview with Vince McMahon:
Followed by his in-ring return on Monday Night Raw against "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase:
Update with "Mean" Gene Okerlund:
Return on Monday Night Raw with Hulk Hogan:
Mega-Maniacs vs. The Beverly Brothers:
Mega-Maniacs comments during a WrestleMania IX Report with "Mean" Gene Okerlund:
Mega-Maniacs Interview on WWF Superstars with "Mean" Gene Okerlund:
Mega-Maniacs Interview on WWF Wrestling Challenge with "Mean" Gene Okerlund:
Mega-Maniacs Interview on Monday Night Raw:
Mega-Maniacs Interview during WrestleMania IX Count-Down:
WrestleMania IX WWF Tag-Team title match against Money Inc.:
WWF Face-To-Face Interview hyping up a return match with Money Inc.:
And I believe that's more or less it. I can't find any footage fan-made or WWF/E made of their rematch with Money Inc.
With Hogan now as WWF Heavyweight champion, I'm not sure how the Mega-Maniacs split and I'm also not sure if it was ever explained on WWF Television at some point.

the Mega-Maniacs didn't split, they just didn't wrestle together anymore...after Hogan won the WWf Championship at WM IX , Beefcake never wrestled in the WWF again, though he appeared in some promo's Hogan did on set of the Thunder in Paradise TV movie while hyping his match against Yokozuna at KOTR....
part of me honestly thinks they never had any long term plans for Beefcake, and just used him as the angle/vehicle to bring Hogan back....

Beefcake and Hogan wrestled at house shows up until the summer of 93 I believe, when they were touring other countries. Maybe it was WWF's way of giving Hogan a final goodbye during that time.

I always thought a good role for Beefcake post-WrestleMania was a kind of back-up/bodyguard for Hogan. Then if they ever decided to go for the Tag titles again, he'd be there.
Odd he only had 2 TV/PPV matches during his last WWF run.

Weird seeing Hogan cut a promo on Money Inc. with the WWF title wrapped around his waist. Cool stuff here.

Was Beefcake still employeed with the WWF from WrestleMania VIII through early 1993? I remember him doing an interview with Gene at WrestleMania VIII hyping Hogan's match with Sid but that was the last I remember him during that time.

when you look back Beefcake was an unfortunate guy,the guy was legit over in 87 & 88 then got injured and Warrior got his IC title reign.
then he got over like crazy again in 89 during the Hogan vs Savage feud and ended up losing his shot at the IC title again to injury.
by the time 93 came around he was totally washed up.
