Now, the possible spoilers pertain to someone who returns on Smackdown this week. If you REALLY wanna be surprised, although it was nothing special, don't read on?
Here's a random storyline I thought of that I think would be cool to happen, but won't.
On the road to Money in the Bank;
*Wade Barrett is back and is in the Money in the Bank match.
*David Otunga is still Johnny's right hand man, and is in the Money in the Bank match.
*Daniel Bryan has been on a mission to recapture his World Heavyweight title, and has been competing in multi-man matches for the past few PPV's.
*Ryback has been dominating and is undefeated.
*Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater have recently reformed a tag team after realising that single they were good, but together they were great.
*Darren Young is probably still on NXT not doing too much of anything.
Michael Tarver is released, so. :/
Come Money in the Bank, and the match is nearing it's end. The ring has been cleared minus Barrett and Otunga. Both men begin climbing and reaching for the briefcase, before Otunga randomly hops down from the ladder, allowing Barrett to claim the briefcase.
The next week on Raw, backstage with Johnny, Otunga claims that his legs gave out on him and that was the reason why he hopped down. Otunga begins to discuss the idea of himself becoming Johnny's Assistant General Manager, and should Johnny ever decide to take a holiday or something, Otunga would be allowed to be let in charge. Johnny claims that this is a fantastic idea, as Johnny thinks he's earned a nice holiday, and that'll he sign an official contract for it later that night.
Later that night (redundancy), Otunga and Johnny are in the ring, Johnny goes over everything, how he's going to take a holiday, and how Otunga is a great leader and will take care of everything while he's gone, Johnny signs the contract, and Otunga is all smiles.
Then, Barrett heads down to the ring with a mic in hand hops into the ring;
"Wait, wait, wait. Mr. Laurinaitis. You're actually going to leave this idiot in charge of both Raw and Smackdown? Why that's... That's perfect. Otunga, it would appear our plan is finally coming together."
Johnny is seen asking, "What plan?"
Suddenly, Bryan, Ryback, Gabriel, Slater and Young are all swarming ringside. They hop into the ring, and all surround Johnny, before attacking him, reminiscent to the original Nexus attack minus the ringside destruction, and no tie choking.
Barrett grabs a microphone, "Enjoy your holiday, Johnny."
The next week on Raw, the seven of them are in the ring and Barrett begins explaining how this was the Nexus' bigger picture the whole time. He explains that Nexus never really disbanded, and that they still wanted to take over WWE, but they realised they were going about it the wrong way. He says Bryan had been originally exiled as they thought Bryan was being overlooked, and by returning in a big manner, people would finally start to notice Bryan, and they did as he became the World Heavyweight champion, but now he was starting to becoming overlooked again. He says that Gabriel and Slater decided they should feign a breakup, mentioning how they're three time tag team champions, and if they stayed a team, how dominant they would have been, but that they needed to avoid suspicion. He says that Ryback, formally Skip Sheffield felt weak and pathetic when he was injured and sidelined for over a year, that he spent his time training and becoming a stronger person, and now you're looking at the monster; Ryback. He says that Darren Young was sent over to NXT to keep an eye on any up and coming talent that could have potentially posed a threat, but of course, there weren't any. Finally, he thanks David Otunga, saying that none of this would have been possible without him, he said Otunga had been secretly trying to gain authority from Johnny the whole time, and it took a while, but they finally got it. And with a member of Nexus now an official General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown, they were one step closer to finally taking over the WWE.
Or something like that.
I don't know, I'm bored.
What do you think? Too ridiculous? Leave the Nexus dead? Halts some of their single careers too much? Wouldn't mind seeing it?
