I think he was also planned to have a feud with Vader.
If you watch the Self Destruction DVD, when they are discussing Warrior no-showing events in 1996, what looks to be a house show card is flashed up on the screen and features Warrior as WWF Champion against Vader. So perhaps there was a plan in place in 96 to have HBK drop the title to Warrior.

How about this for the Attitude era: Heel Warrior would've loved to have seen it! he could rant that after he lost the World Title to Sgt. Slaughter,he never got a chance to get it back, and even go all shoot on Vince and the WWF about money owed and getting fired because Vince didn't want to go to jail!

I just don't think Warrior would have fit in the Attitude era. Even though we had other "cartoon" characters like Taker and Kane, they fit the darker, more edgy era. Warrior seems like he would have stuck out like a sore thumb. But had he been around, he probably would have spent most his time out of the title picture. W/ his past bad blood w/ Vince combined w/ the rising stars like Austin and Rock, Warrior's time as a top guy would have probably been over. Maybe a feud against the Hart Foundation or a quick match w/ Austin, but Warrior proabably would have been pushed down the card. I don't know, he continued to sell mass quantities of merchandise, which would dictate he stay near the top of the card. You look back at those old tapes and you see people in the crowd from 4 to 64 wearing his merch, it was pretty wild. It's just a shame we don't know what could have happened between 1992 - 1996 and beyond. How about this for the Attitude era: Heel Warrior I'm not sure about a straight heel, but a shade of gray Warrior, similar to the path he was going down in 1990 in the promos before Wrestlemania VI. A darker Warrior. The character was always about intensity, which works in any era, just a bit of a tweak to match the time.

Believe that was Photoshopped wwe propaganda to emphasis their point of warrior no showing house shows was brutal... esp since he was the "advertised champ" (when he obviously wasnt at the time) Warrior was suppose to turn heel at SummerSlam 92 vs Macho but refused so thats why we got the countout or DQ? ending. Warrior was suppose to have 'sold out'

Now HHH thinks he's one of the all time greatest the industry has ever seen and would like to have a match with him again. Warrior and McMahon respect each other highly now. He's at the start of every WWE event in that video package, CM Punk loves the guy, as does Ryder, it's just amazing the 180 it's taken. That Self Destruction DVD was such a piece of propaganda trash it's unreal. For the uninformed, it made Warrior look like a psychopathic spawn of satan.

I mean hell it seemed like only 3-4 years ago they'd put ANYONE with a negative comment on the Self-Destruction DVD. I personally would like to see a WrestleMania match Warrior vs. McMahon while Vince can still go. Nothing classic but cool to see.

He wasn't "one of the boys", which is why a number of guys didn't like him. He got along well with Rude, Savage, Taker, and a handful of others, none of which have real shoots, unfortunately. Warrior and Sting had a bit of a falling out when Sting didn't back him once they got into Watts' (I believe it was Watts) office to ask for a raise. I notice that a lot of the shoot interviewers try to get certain responses in the way they ask questions about him. I think it was on one of Demolition's shoots that the guy asked "How hard was it to work with Warrior in those triple tag events in 1990?" Both Ax and Smash shot that idea down and said they had no problems, he was professional with them.

That would have been a fun match, had he not already did it with Hogan and Hart. I think maybe a handicap match with Vince + HHH vs. Warrior would be interesting. He can still stand in there with just about anybody. This pic is about 2 weeks old. Maybe a one-off return match to retire the Undertaker?
