I was watching SS Anthology 1991 and I started to think about what would the rest of the year been like if Warrior hadnt been fired?
He was slated to feud with Jake Roberts and Undertaker (the announcers even made mention of them being in the arena on the broadcast). How would this have affected Undertaker and his eventual title match with Hogan at Survivor Series? What about Macho Man?
If it was me, I would have had the same ending to the Savage/Elizabeth reception with Roberts and Undertaker attacking them, but with no Sid Justice save. Then Savage and Warrior team up to take on Roberts and Undertaker, while Hogan moves on to a proper feud with Ric Flair, and then the eventual Sid heel turn, or a Sid/Flair feud once Hogan leaves.
On a side note, do you think the Sid run in at the wedding recpetion was a last minute addition after Warrior was let go? It would seem that if Warrior had stayed, and Sid still saved Savage, it would have been a 3 on 2 advantage for the faces, and Sid had his big moment of the night with the posing with Hogan.
I think Warrior's firing really altered a lot of storylines and careers, changing the path of events probably all the way up to Mania 8 and its potential card. Thoughts?

Good topic,
Never really been any insight into what was supposed to happen in fall of 1991, we know Warrior/Jake was set to feud and Hulk/Flair originally set for WM8, but where Savage, Sid, Taker fits into all this is intriuging

I think Vince wast set to start building Sid up at SummerSlam so I think Sid would still be the savior at the Wedding. But my guess would be a Sid & Warrior vs. Jake & Undertaker mini feud leading into Survivor Series.
But really i don't know. I would Say Warrior might have been on Sid's team at Survivor Series.

Imagine this for a Survivor Series main event that year: Hogan, Warrior, Savage, and Sid vs Flair, Undertaker, Jake Roberts, and Papa Shango (or some other 4th heel)
which would have led to this card for WM8: Hogan vs Flair Warrior vs Undertaker Savage vs Roberts Sid vs (heel)

I was thinking...
Hogan vs Flair Sid vs Taker Savage vs Roberts Warrior vs Shango
add that to Hart vs Piper, Michaels vs Santana and the Tag Titles match (Which would have been great as Money Inc vs Road Warriors)....could have been one of the more classic cards of all time.

I think Warrior would be someone who the media would target heavily during the steroid trial, I would think so. I mean look at the focal point of the WWF during late-1992 and early-1993: - Ric Flair - Mr. Perfect - Randy Savage - Bret Hart - Shawn Michaels - Yokozuna Hogan, Warrior, Sid, and other larger guys would fade out over time. But even when Hogan did return, he was considerably smaller than his previous WWF run.

Its mad to think both Warrior & Davey were in the co-main events at Summerslam 92, then 2 months later were gone.

If SSeries had gone on with Warrior/Savage vs Flair/Razor, would the Mr. Perfect face turn, and subsequent feud with Flair, have happened? Or maybe Warrior would have been Flair's last feud before leaving the WWF? So many possibilities...

I could definatly see that happening, which then would have probably led Warrior into a feud w/ Bret for the title. I think it was in Bret's book that the origional plan was for him to defend the title against Warrior at the Rumble, so that was always a possibility for Warrior after Survivor Series.

I think the WWF would have been better off had he not been fired in 1991, 1992, and 1996. Getting fired in 1991, was an ego thing with Vince and I think Hogan helped him make the decision. It's unfortunate because feuds with Jake and the Undertaker (taking that to the next level, out of the house shows and onto a SNME and subsequent PPV) would have been great. I'll have to look back at some old booking notes and see what really might have been. In 1992, McMahon needed some scapegoats for the steroid "scandal". Warrior and Davey Boy were 2 of the most muscular on the roster, and instead of facing jail time, he fired them to make it look like his "drug test" was legitmate and would be enforced, no matter how big the star. In the end, we all got screwed out of seeing what could have been a lot of fun going forward as a tag team. The Ultimate Maniacs. The promos were hilarious, the guys were definitely having fun together. Maybe it wouldn't have lasted but a match or two, or maybe they would have gone through a program similar to the Mega Powers, headlining Wrestlemania VIII? There are dozens of possibilities, another title run was likely. How long would Warrior have stayed afterward? In 1996, had the McMahons not breached their end of the merchandising contract with Warrior, he wouldn't have no-showed events. If that doesn't take place, he's still with the company for the In Your House 9 in the match that would have been: Warrior/Shawn Michaels/Ahmed Johnson vs. Owen Hart/British Bulldog/Vader. From there, who knows. There was talk that the plan was for him to face Michaels at Wrestlemania 13 for the title. How would his presence have affected the Attitude Era?

I just don't think Warrior would have fit in the Attitude era. Even though we had other "cartoon" characters like Taker and Kane, they fit the darker, more edgy era. Warrior seems like he would have stuck out like a sore thumb. But had he been around, he probably would have spent most his time out of the title picture. W/ his past bad blood w/ Vince combined w/ the rising stars like Austin and Rock, Warrior's time as a top guy would have probably been over. Maybe a feud against the Hart Foundation or a quick match w/ Austin, but Warrior proabably would have been pushed down the card.

I wish Survivor Series had happened as planned. Plus maybe then JAKKS would have given us a CS Warrior in the Mega-Maniacs flame attire! I could see Warrior basically having Hennig's role in a feud against Flair and finally outing him on RAW. Maybe have Bret vs. Warrior at Rumble but only to have Flair cost him the title. I believe in 1996, after the six-man tag team match at IYH, Warrior was supposedly scheduled to face Bulldog at SummerSlam. After that, who knows.
