3/2/12 Smackdown Spoilers

WWE is taping this week’s Smackdown tonight from KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. Below are full results:

WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy)

* Sheamus opens the show with a promo on Daniel Bryan, calling him a conceited champion, but he is quickly interrupted by Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero. Ziggler says that he deserves to be main eventing WrestleMania. This brings out Teddy Long, who makes Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler the official opening bout.

* Sheamus b. Dolph Ziggler

* John Laurinaitis demands an apology from Teddy Long after Long pushed him down on Raw. Long instead brings up that they will be switching brands next week, and since he’s still in control, he puts Mark Henry in a match with The Big Show later tonight.

* Santino Marella b. Heath Slater with the Cobra.

* Eve b. Natalya

* Cody Rhodes cuts a promo on The Big Show. Show eventually comes out and Rhodes runs away through the crowd. Show tries to coax Rhodes back into the ring, but he wouldn’t, so Show chases him. Show gets stopped by Teddy Long, who makes Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show for the Intercontinental Championship official at WrestleMania XXVIII. Mark Henry then came out for his match with Big Show.

* The Big Show b. Mark Henry with the WMD.

* Teddy Long books David Otunga vs. The Big Show for this week’s Raw, then speaks with Drew McIntyre. He tells him that he either wins tonight or he is fired.

* Justin Gabriel b. Drew McIntyre with the 450 Splash. Teddy Long then appeared on the TitanTron and fired McIntyre.

* Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring with AJ for a promo. He reminds the crowd that he is from Aberdeen, Washington, not too far from Seattle, but he moved to Las Vegas as soon as he could. He continued garnering cheap heat until Randy Orton came out for their match.

* Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton ended when Orton began to gain momentum and Bryan tried to leave with AJ. Orton ran after him and Kane‘s pyro went off. Bryan and AJ escaped as Kane began fighting with Orton. Kane chokeslammed Orton, grabbed a mic, and said “Welcome back” to end the show.

Kane vs. Orton for WM? Sounds okay.

God I hope they don't waste Orton on Kane after the amazing year he has had.

Kane vs. Orton? Sort of "meh" but gives them both something to do. Obvious finish has Ryder interfering for Orton to win: nobody loses momentum, Ryder gets his payday, and we set up Kane's next feud.

[Eat Defeat.]

Sounds like a good show. Kane V Orton at WM sounds good! Really hope they have rematches on the SD leg of the UK WM revenge tour!

McIntyre fired? What a shame, always liked the guy. But at least they're sort of pushing Gabriel

Orton vs Kane at WM Should be good tbh, this WM is shaping out to be spectacular!

He's been "fired" like 15 times since he rejoined WWE lol.

I really do like the sound of that tbh. They are two big stars who really should be on the Mania card, so a small feud between them through Mania would be quite cool IMO.

Orton vs Kane sounds good but where is Ryder going to be in all of this? They aren't just going to waste a rising babyface at Mania. :/

Another random threw away SmackDown with no real point or progress or points of interest. We all saw Cody vs Big Show coming, and those of you wanting Shaq will be pissed for sure.

I think it MAY be worth a watch, if they don't edit out the chants.

Orton does. Cena can completely destroy Kane but Orton needs Ryder's help to beat Kane?

I liked the Big Show vs. Mark Henry feud last year a lot, but seeing Mark Henry fed to Big Show three times in a week is sad.

Wow what the hell is going on with Mark Henry...I mean if he's legit injured just let him take some time off. He's gone from being the most dominant guy on SD to just jobbing to EVERYONE.

I understand they are trying to get behind Sheamus but damn I can't remember the last time he lost a match. I have a feeling he beats DBryan at 'Mania and begins the era of Sheamus on SD.

Orton v Kane? Good. Keeps both of them away from titles, and will be a nice filler match.

Additional info on how the divas match was set up from pwtorch:

-Backstage, Eve was checking herself out in a mirror. Natalya objected to the way Eve has been treating Zack Ryder. Eve said that Zack may be sweet, but he stinks. If you think this segment didn't end with Nattie farting, you'd be wrong.

So I guess they are making Natalya seem like a face I mean what is up with all of the heel divas sticking up for Ryder [Bellas and now Natalya]?

Of course Natalya's farting gimmick continues and she loses..

The main event, Sheamus/Ziggler match and Gabriel/Drew match also interest me.

Sad Drew was 'fired' but this should allow him to come back with his new gimmick however I feel that won't really last long and he may just get fired in real life. Such a shame.

Cody/Show being made official doesn't really interest me much. I hope Cody can win I just don't think he will.

Wouldn't say it sucks for Orton. Forgot where I read it, but somewhere I read that Orton wanted to work with Kane at sometime with the point their characters are at now.
