Alot has been said about wrestling figures loosing there value, but is the value dropping because of the product we see.
I was watching summerslam 1993 the other day & the matches were alot better compared to today.
In WWE & TNA the product isn't great. (imao). TNA could be great but theres to much talking and talent isn't used correctly. WWE is like a drama.
i'll still collect hasbro wwf figures, just i think the value different today, maybe because of the product. Hasbro is slowly getting better in the uk.

i'm not the best person to answer this but i felt the decline in value of older lines was due to the jakks classic series, 1/500 ect.

It's a combination of a lot of factors. Jakks and their Classics line being so readily availible at retail is a more attractive option for the more casual collector than tracking down hard to find and sometimes more costly older figures. Also, a lot of the fans who remember the LJN and Hasbro figures fondly or were fans of that era HAVE been turned away by a current wrestling (sports entertainment) scene that does not appeal to them. And thridly, people (at least in the US, and maybe elsewhere) have been made paranoid by the constant "sky is falling" talk of the economy (some warranted, some only done to amp up fear and push an agenda) and the rise in oil prices and aren't as willing to spend on extraneous things like collectibles.
