Austin was always more popular to me because anytime the Rock faced someone like Austin or Hogan, he always got booed. I always used to say, even then before my "smarkdom", that Rock could never break through to being "super" popular no matter how much we loved him, because he would always face someone we liked just a little more than him (hell, even Jericho got more cheers then Rock at one point and he wasn't considered an equal really), whereas Austin could've faced Jesus Christ himself and still get cheered. Then again at the time, I was pro-Austin and when Hogan came back I wanted Hulkamania to run wild one more time. But even in retrospect, it always seemed like Rocky was #2. If Cena was as popular as Austin was back in the day, Rocky would be booed right now, no matter how long he was gone. I truly believe that.
