THere's always a lot of posts on heel turns and face turns that were great and such, but let's look back in history at some of Heel/face turns that should've happened, and the the ones that should have never been.
Scott Hall 1998: When the NWO split up into two factions the members that went to the Black and Red side turned face. For whatever reason Hall stayed on the black and white side! This makes no sense to me as to why he wouldn't go with his buddy Kevin Nash. If they wanted there to be some balance between the two factions and start a program between the two, they should have had Hall join up with the Wolfpac and then turning Nash a few weeks would have been more effective.
Goldberg 2000: WCW was on a downward spiral and in a need to shake things up, they turned goldberg in what I could only assume was an attempt to relive the magic of the the Hogan heel turn from 1996. It had no impact whatsoever and didn't last very long.
What heel/face turns do you think should/shouldn't have happened?

All the multiple face/heel turns Bret Hart did in WCW from late 1997 - early 2000. It just makes no sense in why he turned so many times and for what reasons.

Hart turning heel and joining the nWo was utter nonsense.one of the worst heel turns ever. Goldbergs heel turn was also nuts. Ill also add Randy Orton.his heel turn in 04 was a terrible(and shortsighted)piece of booking.Orton showed NO face attributes whatsoever and was turned simply for HHH to feud with and ultimately destroy. Im sure Ill think of some more.

Bret was the #1 Tweener in the world through 1997. Due to Montreal, he became the #1 face in the world. The fact that WCW didn't immediately capitalize on that and make Bret the #1 guy in the company is a complete waste. Bret was in his prime in 1997. Shame on WCW. Others include Big Show & Kane turning multiple times over the years with no real good explanations for any of them other then Kane wanting to be a monster again and Big Show being...hungry again. Yeah I dunno... EDIT: Adding Eugene's short lived heel turn to this list. I remember him trying to get Lilian Garcia to kiss him. What a joke.

Ahmed Johnson joining N.O.D after nearly year long feud with Farooq, then getting injured, then becoming a face again without explanation and back feuding with N.O.D again. Pointless.
Demolition in 1990 was baffling, No.2 faces in the company at WM6, yet were made heels by Summerslam 90 without any real explanation, all because L.O.D were coming. Would have been better to have had them both as tweeners, having battles for respect, who was the better team type thing.
Kurt Angle in 2001, was comedy heel with Austin in June, then turned face in July, had good matches against heel Stone Cold in August & September, then then joined ECWCW in October.
Sting around Halloween Havoc 1999 was worthless.

Agree 100%. This NEVER EVER should have happened. Kurt Angle was so over as a babyface in 2001 with the milk truck stuff that it was ridiculous. There was no reason to pull the carpet out from under him like that. No reason at all.

Tatanka's original heel turn could have worked, if only they didn't stick him in the million dollar corperation.

The whole concept of turning Tatanka heel was superb, having weeks of him accusing Luger of being in discussion with Dibiase when it was Tatanka all along, nobody expected it, a very underated heel turn for me.

WWF wrestlers joing the invading WCW during the InVasion angle. So stupid.
Evil Doink to dumb ass child friendly Doink was an awful switch. Evil Doink was so great, and pretty scary and creepy. Then he was all happy and had a bunch of midgets fight Jerry Lawlers army of midgets

Also Savage joining the original nWo was ridiculous, was attacked & spray painted for weeks by the nWo then out of no where became a member. Should really have been one of the main event stars along with Sting, Luger & Horsemen leading against the nWo long term, instead becaming a mid card act for large parts mainly against DDP while Hogan, Hall & Nash took centre stage.

I have to disagree with this one. While the way they did it was kind of shitty because like you said he went from being against them to with them within a few weeks it was a good move IMO. I loved the whole thing with him and Hogan and the tension between them. You could just feel the tension between the two and it was really a storyline version of what they were like behind the scenes.

christian in 2011, he had great momentum after winning the title and could have had a great run and been a top face in the company, but they decided to take it off him in 2 days and eventually turn him heel, sure he was fun in the heel role but they made him the worst kind of heel possible, a whiny, cowardly heel and killed any chance of him being a top guy in the company

i cant believe I forgot the 1# heel turn that should NEVER EVER have happened.
Austin betraying Team WWF at Invasion 2001.
Demolitions heel turn was also crap.they were obviously still faces when the Rockers and Harts had that great match to decide the 1# contenders-then they were heels.
now we all know the reason why......
1)The Road Warriors were inbound 2)They had NO serious heel squad.Twin Towers, brain Busters and POP were all disbanded or left inside 7 months 3)Ax was hurt and the dynamic of the team was bound to change so bringing in Crush was the time to do it
BUT it was the way they did it.they didnt actually do anything to turn.......as a kid I was confused as hell.
as said above they got the 2nd/joint 2nd best pop of the night at WM6.......then they were heels in July.

Mr. Anderson in TNA last year...
He was a face.. Tweener.. Face... Most popular he's ever been... tweener.. beats sting with a low-blow... mega-heel... joins immortal.. looses title... face... Disappears off the face of the earth.
Should of been the best year of his life, considering he now has 2 world championships to add to his collection. Beating Jeff Hardy and Sting is no small feat.

Although it was short lived Mick Foley turning heel before ECW One Night Stand 2 and teaming with Edge, instead of having a rematch from WrestleMania they decided to make Foley look like a complete bitch.

one of the worst was Ahmed Johnson turning Heel and joining the NOD...i mean, AJ vs Farooq/NOD was arguably the 2nd or 3rd hottest feud going on in the WWF from 1996-1997....yet they then start to turn Ahmed heel to fight Undertaker ( which didn't need to happen, since Taker was under the control of Paul Bearer again and doing nasty things) , then he goes and joins the group he's been fighting against for nearly a year!! then he gets hurt and gets kicked out,so it was all for nothing....

WWF wrestlers joing the invading WCW during the InVasion angle. So stupid. without a doubt, the survivor series match was pretty much wwf vs wwf.
