Thanks for the news. I didn't know there was a piper GI Joe. I thought you had made a mistake and meant to put Slaughter. It's nice seeing Slaughter and Piper made into GI Joes, but I won't be collecting them.

Ya, I had no idea. I really don't pay much attention to threads in this area unless they have to do with LJN's. That is probably why I missed it.
What is the history on the Slaughter and Piper? How did GI Joe end up having two wrestlers in their figure line?

How did GI Joe end up having two wrestlers in their figure line? Slaughter is a G.I. Joe trainer and is a drill sergeant. he's been a Joe for awhile. Piper is an Iron Grenadier trainer and is an agent of Cobra who works for Destro and M.A.R.S. they wanted to have a character to directly be an enemy to Slaughter, so Hasbro used another wrestler. |
