Is it just me or did it seem like there was something up with the match. Road Warriors basically stormed out and begin beating the crap out of them, this continued all match at every point they could (ie when they were losing and had the odd punch it was stiff as hell) and then when it came to the finish they dropped one of them right on their head and kicked the other straight out of the ring. Anything behind it? Always seemed odd this match despite being one of my favourites.

I think it was just the way the match was designed to be. LOD were mad as hell and coming in to take the belts and finally defeat the Nasty Boys after failing before that on house shows. I think it was good actually. It made the Nasty Boys credible champions, and then seeing the LOD destroy them made the LOD look invincible.
But just like always, LOD lose the tag titles to a team that just got paired together out of no where. They seemed to have had bad luck with random guys pairing up and beating them for the belts.

That is true about Money Inc., yet they had the longest consistency with the tag titles. Yes, they did hold them 3 times, but they held them back to back to back, from the time period of February 1992 until June 1993, only losing them for a time span of July to October of 92.
But if you look back at tag teams in the early 90s, I don't think there was another team who had such a grip on those tag titles like Money Inc. did. Hell, they even appeared at Wrestlemania 8 and 9 defending the Tag Titles. Not too shabby for a 'put together' team.

yeah there was legit heat.
Knobs and Sags are two of the biggest crapbags in the business and they didnt want to drop the straps at SS91.they complained to Vince that Hawk and Animal were sandbagging them on purpose and were dangerous to work with in the runup.
both claims were of course untrue and Sags was said to be very sore after that Doomsday Device......... ;D
serves them right.they are both pieces of poop.just ask Steve Austin or Ken Shamrock.to say I despise them both is an understatement.
and while Money Inc may have started out as a thrown together team to replace the frankly dreadful Natural Diasasters as the premiere heel team, they became so much more.

And your points make it even stranger that Money, Inc. isn't really all that remembered as much as they should've been. yeah,Money Inc. was a severely underrated team...both had great technical skills,and were able to get great heat on the mic...add Jimmy Hart for the first year of their run,and they should be ranked higher in the annals of Tag Team wrestling...

as I said above Money Inc deserve way more credit.
yes they were only thrown together because the Narural Disasters(in every sense of the word)totally bombed as the premiere heel team......and after RR92 Vinces mind was set-he needed new opponents for LOD.
of course Hawk failed a drug test and they were then off WM8.original plans called for them to lose the straps to Money Ince at WM8(by nefarious means)and because of their tremendous popularity overseas regain the straps in Wembley.
this changed and for some inexplicable reason the NDs were given the straps to defend at SS92 and LOD vs Money Ince became non title.....some say it was due to Hawks increasingly erratic behaviour in the summer of 92.
