They most likely just forgot about it. It's cool to think that Raven held the title.

I think that they just didn't have any lightweights come 1993. Flamingo was jobbed out and then left, Pillman was place with Austin in the tag division, Richard Morton was in Smokey Mountain tagging with Gibson again, Johnny B. Badd was contending in the TV title tourny, and they were making such a big deal out of that TV Title with the Anderson and Wrestling II tournaments for that belt, that I guess the Lightweight belt just went away and not thought of again.

Yeah I think they just did other things with the Light Heavyweights. Liger went back to Japan. Pillman started working with Austin. Morton left and went back to SMW. Scotty Flamingo "Raven" left and went to Eastern Championship Wrestling. 2 Cold Scorpio went onto Tag Team work. Tom Zenk "Zman" went to working in TV title scene as well as tagging with Terry Taylor. Brad Armstrong got hurt so the title was vacated.

Actually Scotty Flamingo left and went to WWF as Johnny Polo at that time after the WWF is when he went to ECW.
