While I enjoyed his ministry days, I gotta say I really loved the ABA Taker. When he used Kid Rock for his entrance music it just all fit together.

1997. His title reign. Great feud with Mankind. Summerslam match with Bret Hart. Great feud and Hell in a Cell match with Shawn Michaels. Good stuff all around.

for me,it's always about the beginning....
loved the whole gimmick and character when he first arrived...i mean, a guy who "killed" people and put them in coffins and body bags? this was unheard of back then!
once the Slaughter angle ran out of juice in summer of 1991, Taker emerged as THE biggest heel in the company,but quickly became one of the most popular based upon the darkness of the character...truly,one of the first examples of Vince having to "change" a character due to overwhelming fan support...they literally cheered him to face-dom....

from his return in 94 the start of the purple to 98 when he turned heel.he had some awesome matches in this time.

he was part of what i consider to be the greatest run of heels in WWF history, late 1990 - early 1992 :
Undertaker : the Dead Man,the bogeyman everyone was afraid of
Jake Roberts : the sadistic SOB who no one could trust,and would not only attack you but everyone you loved
Ric Flair : the Nature Boy,and "Real World's Champion"...he came in with the pedigree,and didn't need to be anyone but himself
Sgt. Slaughter : the turncoat,who road the Iraqi War all the way to the WWF Title
The Nasty Boys : disgusting,nasty,sloppy as hell,but successful...

The original Undertaker. I have never liked Hulk Hogan and when Taker came along and beat him for the Title at Survivor Series I was a fan. I was a fan from the previous years Survivor Series when he took out Koko and Rhodes (I was and am a Dusty fan) I was so in shock by it I became a fan. Then the next great feud for me no not the Ultimate Warrior one was him and Yokozuna. Giant Gonzalez was big but Yokozuna was huge and then Yoko put him out at the Royal Rumble (with help from 9 others) but got revenge at Survivor Series 94. So my pick had to be the Original Undertaker....Rest In Peace....OOOOOHHHHH YYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

I loved his revenge on Yoko........his return at Summerslam 94 had me drooling as a 14 year old.the crap match didnt even matter to me!!

Ministry Taker for me. I loved how badass he was and he was one of my favorite heels ever at this point. ABA Taker would be second.

Ministry Undertaker for me also. Liked how evil/santanic the character got and can't forget the ring attires and look which was his best IMO!
