Man what was up Hogan's ass that night? No playing to the crowd, kicking around cameramen...wow. Was he supposed to be playing a heel or something? Even as a face, Hogan always showed a sharper edge in Japan. I'm not sure what the reasoning was behind that but he played a kind of Stone Cold version of himself, including constanty saying he was better than Inoki, even when they weren't wrestling. Interesting, I've seen Hogan in Japan before, but I guess I didn't realize it until watching that clip. His matches with Inoki and Hansen in Japan are top notch classics.

He likely knew by this time he was on his way out to lose to Yokozuna at King of the Ring.
His relationship with Vince by this time was apparently very frosty (ie. if I can't keep this belt, it ceases to be important thus it is a prop). McMahon mention that that he was supremely relieved that Hogan was finally leaving. Both were at that staged where they were just exhausted with each other.
