Back in 2007, the night Edge cashed in on Undertaker, why did WWE spoil it by airing it as breaking news on that night's ECW broadcast?

It also bugged me when they announced Khali won the title on Smackdown and when Punk won the title on ECW when it was taped.

My only guess would be that the next edition of SmackDown might've not been planned for that Friday.

They did the same with Angle in 06 my guess is that they wanted to get people to tune to see it

People were going to read spoiler anyway, so it doesn't make that much of a difference if they just post it and try to get some more viewers and traffic on their website.

My guess is that it was the selling point to get people to tune in. I was there live so I didn't spoil anything for me, but its a risky move, some would tune in the see it, while others might not bother because they already know what happened.
