WCM Izzy's "WF Pic Fed Rankings": October 17, 2011

Hi guys! Like I said in the discussion thread, I came up with a neat system to rank our shows, a feature I hope you like and enjoy and it helps to gauge how our respective shows are doing (no fighting! no fighting!).

The premise is simple enough:

1) I only count shows currently in the main page (usually about 20 shows).

2) First ranking score is based on how many replies your show got.

3) Second ranking score is based on how many views your show got.

4) The Combined ranking adds up your position for Replies and Views, giving us an overall ranking position. For example, if you are #3 in Replies and #4 in Views, your Combined points equal 7 (3+4=7) and we'd have to see how that makes you fit in the ranking.

Here is how the ranking looks this week:







My show (WCM) for example, is #11 in Replies and #7 in Views, giving me a combined 18, which puts me in #8 for the Combined Rankings!

See how your show is doing and feel free to comment, debate, love, hate and even argue... BUT IN A FRIENDLY WAY!!!

I like it, because it gives you an idea of how a show "matures" as weeks go by. A lot of the shows on the bottom are pretty new, and I won't be surprised to see them climb up the charts as other shows slowly decline, which is a clear sign that it's TIME TO DO A NEW EPISODE! Wooo!

This is a cool idea. It's nice to watch the progress of the shows on the board and also provides a little friendly competition. Sorta like the nielsen ratings,lol. Thanks for the contribution:)

Why not? I could make it a Monday thing, since the numbers would be fresh from the weekend, when the board is the most active. As deskjet said, kind of like our own Nielsen ratings, just that nobody can pull the plug on our shows if we get low scores, lol!

Wow, this is a cool system, Izzy! Thanks for taking the time to put this together! I really like the idea of having our own version of Nielsen ratings and the way you broke it down is very fair.

I don't get the 'combined' bit?

For example:

RCW Episode 1 ranks #9 in replies and #14 in views.

To get your combined ranking, I added both: 9 + 14 = 23 points

The same is done for every show in the ranking, and those points are used to rank them in the combined ranking.

Your 23 combined points puts you at #11. Of course here some shows may be tied, since 3 different shows have 23 points.

For the combined rankings, the lower the number, the higher you are in the ranks.
