ok folks so here we go.gonna run this and the 90s poll at the same time and when we get 2 winners they can square off!!!
ok lads you can select 4 options here, then we will have a semi final.
my options were Savage,Honky,Warrior and Rude.Id like to say steamboat but because he wanted out shortly after winning it-his reign is pretty meaningless to me.but thats just me.
ok so have fun!!

How could you not include Mr. Perfect? simple enough......he wasnt Champ until 1990.also astonishing that a user who appears to revere Curt Hennig doesnt know this.

Warrior Rude Honky Macho
Steamboat didn't have a memorable reign for me, he had that great WM3 with Savage but wasn't IC champ in the match.

Don Muraco for sure!! He was a 2 time IC Champion and did wonders with it. I think he gets over looked because it was early in the 80s and even before the Hogan era began.

Ok i went for the following:
Randy Savage. One of the faces of the Eighties. Could drag a 4 star match out of a broom stick! His reign proved a stepping stone for greater things.
Steamboat. Purely based on that WM3 match. Some people have mentioned that they didn't pick him because he took time out shortly after, and while i understand that, i think it was one of the defining moments of the belts history. If the heavyweight title match at WM3 is remembered for "the slam heard around the world" then surely the I.C match is equally remembered for classic wrestling story telling at its finest.
Honky. A classic example of what makes the WWF so great. They had a cowardly champion who pretty much cheated his way through a 15 month reign, yet it never damaged the prestige of the belt.
Rude. One of my all time favourite wrestlers. Had two fantastic matches with the Warrior, over the I.C. championship. I just wish it could have been a platform for him to win the big one. Even if he traded with the Warrior the following summer in a similar fashion to their Intercontinental feud.

I wanted to vote for Rude & STeamboat, but neither had great reigns. They had great matches when they won the titles, but neither one really gave me something great to remember them by.

looks like Savage is going through-no suprise there but the rest late 80s crew aside from Rude are pretty inseperable.
