Hey guys!
Hope you can help me out with this one...
I remember Mr. Perfect being out with a back injury and doing announce duties during a lot of the mid 90s including the 1996 Royal Rumble. I also BRIEFLY remember him doing an angle with Hunter Hearst Helmsley in mid-late 1996 including an angle where Perfect was going to wrestle Helmsley but instead joined with him...
My question is did Mr. Perfect ever wrestle a WWF match in 1996 before leaving for wCw?
EDIT: This is all I could find...

Nope. Just read up on it. The closest he got to wrestling was when he was scheduled to face HHH but was attacked by him backstage and wasn't cleared to compete. Marc Mero took his spot and Hennig joined forces with HHH later that night. Then came his contract dispute.

That's all the info I could find also....
Strange. I really wished we got more out of Perfect.
Especially since he started actually WRESTLING in wCw after he left the WWF.

Wasn't Perfect collecting from London's Insurance or something? I remember hearing about this.

KempAY!: I dunno but I believe I've heard this also. I just get frustrated because he didn't wrestle in the WWF for so long in the mid 90s and then he went to wCw and wrestled just fine. I guess I just wish he would've stayed in the WWF...
gravedigger3: I don't believe so...unless it was on some House Show or something.

Wasn't Perfect collecting from London's Insurance or something? I remember hearing about this. As it went down, WWF built up this angle with Perfect coming down and escorting HHH's date's from ringside to backstage much to Tripper's dismay. Then it came to the match, where it was supposed to be Hunter vs Mr Perfect on RAW, they then filmed the angle where Helmsley rammed the equipment cart into him backstage leading to a "knee injury" so Hennig could not compete. Marc Mero then took his place and lost the IC belt in a ruse with HHH & Perfect in on it. The contract dispute came from, as said he was collecting a handsome Lloyds of London insurance on his back injury, the payout was so good that he would never have to wrestle again. However when Lloyds they learned Hennig was preparing to return for the HHH match they stopped paying him, even though it was all an angle and Hennig was never gonna start wrestling again ever. When Hennig learned that Lloyds were going to stop paying out, he was furious with Vince for doing the angle which cost him so dearly. So to get his own back so to speak, he opened negotiations with WCW and got a great deal but meant he had to wrestle full time for it. Thats why Hennig left so abruptly after the Helmsley angle.

To add to your statement, i read that Vince informed Lloyds of London that Perfect was returning to the ring so they stopped his payouts. To compensate this and to try and retain his services, Vince offered Perfect a huge payrise, but he was furious about this so went and negotiated with WCW.
