I'm only getting around to watching this Philly/Tampa Bay game now. I'm taking it that all I missed was the clock ticking for forty minutes?

Wow, Coburn just crushed Downie something fierce. Tack on Tampa's goalie getting dead leveled...this doesn't seem like it's as bad as it was being made out to be.

I hate watching this defense, Really do. I don't know what the hell happened to Mes, He's falling fast this year. Just sloppy....and of course, not shocking.

Interesting game. Both teams forgot how to play hockey in the first.
Second and third were very defensive, but I'll take the win! Go Bolts!

Am I the only one that hates watching the 1-3-1 trap? I think Lavy did a good job of trying to outwork it, But it just sucks to see the puck not being attacked. I honestly felt like I stepped back at least 7-10 years watching that first period.
Maybe it's just me, But it seemed like everyone was pissed about how Tampa laid back. And I understand what they run, and only so many few teams run it. But a lot of people were left with a bad taste in their mouth.

It was just as much as Tampa's fault for not attacking as it was Philly's for not advancing. Ihope most of the people attacking TB realize thay.

Was just a strange game last night, the way it played out.

This lack of a Pens game since Sunday is really irritating me. Haha.

So tonight it's James Neal's first game against Dallas since he was traded to the Pens last season. Considering the Pens haven't played in almost a week, here's hoping him and Staal are still hot.

Looch tried to say he came barreling up the ice with his head down and couldn't stop in time so he had to 'brace himself', but i'm not so sure. He didn't have to extend his arms, and the look on his face after impact pretty much explains it all. It was a hit that shouldn't have been made, but at the same time, it wasn't a death blow like everyone is making it out to be (including Miller, who laid dead on the ice for a few seconds after, and later called Lucic a "gutless piece of sh*t). I'd say it was pretty gutless how the rest of the Sabres roster didn't stick up for Miller and show they weren't going to have their #1 goalie knocked around, but that's just me.
There's 5 more games between these two that are going to take place this season, and this deff won't be forgotten on either end.

Meh, that should be a 5-10 game suspension. Lucic lead with his forearm/elbow and wasn't even close to the puck. Punk move by the kid. If you have to run goalies to be considered an enforcer, you aren't much of an enforcer and it was a complete intent to injure case here.

I can understand that it would be hard to stop that quickly, but thrusting forward with your forearm/elbow doesn't exactly equate to "bracing himself" in my eyes. Looked like an intent to injure to me.
I'm still trying to process Coburn being able to handle the puck, let alone score a goal.

Lucic has a hearing tomorrow for that hit according to the Team 1040. We'll see what happens. I think he'll get around 3-4 games.

To me it wasnt a huge devasting check, but obviously it was hard enough to now give Miller a concussion. And I kinda doubt Miller sold it by laying on the ice for a moment. He swung his stick at Lucic then laid down like he was taking a moment to chill out, because he got up pretty quickly afterwards. I also dont understand why no Buffalo guys went after Boston afterwards, maybe Ruff told the not to do anything? Either way should make for some interesting games between Boston/Buffalo now. Andif it was Thomas who was run, you know Boston wouldve went crazy. As for Lucic, horrible and stupid play to make. Theres obvious intent. Im gonna say minimum 3-4 games for the hit. Was pretty classless on Lucics part to say the least.

No suspension for Lucic apparently. Shannahan says there was "no intent from Lucic." How sad....

Meh, not really upset about the decision and in a way, that hit by Lucic was a blessing in disguise since the team plays terrible whenever Miller is in goal.
