I bought this at a boot sale for about £1.00 because it was unusual, the mask looks like El Generico but the rest of the attire doesnt. Any clues?   |

He's from The Magnificent Wrestlers. They used to sell them at spam. Not sure if they still do.

It is from the "Magnificent Wrestler" series of carded bootleg figures. The head is luchadore Octagon. The attire looks like Brazo de Oro. The figure would have origninally come with plastic boots (like the Mego hero fiugres from the 1970s). There were versions of these relased with heads that matched the attire (Atlantis attire and head, for example), then versions that all had the Octagon head, no matter what the attire.

Don't worry, I know what I'm writing about. Atlantis has a different symbol on the knees. The one in the pic is supposed to be the Brazo's "posing man" design (see the pic attatched of the Brazos). There IS a "Magnificent Wrestler" figure with Atlantis' attire, but this is not that figure.   |

oh man this brings back so many memories. my brother and i grew up watching lucha libre and we would buy these at the flea market. they also had a ring and everything. but goldenhulk is right. it is octagon and he has brazo de oro's tights. too bad he has no boots. his feet might get cold.  |
