Well if say just before Summerslam 90, Vince says to Hogan, Warrior isn't cutting it as champ I want you to take the belt back at WM7, but not against Warrior who would you want to face? Hulk then had a choice probably of Earthquake or possibly Dibiase, and they had both be done before at some stage, it was a fresh idea to bring back USA loyalist Slaughter as an Iraqi sympathiser on the back of the Gulf War, even though a bit distasteful.

you make a really good point there!

taking the Warrior and Savage out of the equation there would be no one else.

as much as i like him, Earthquake should not have been anywhere near the world title. and DiBiase had lost too many highh profile outing to be a credible champ.

You're right, his career was really wasted but I think after SSeries 91' him and Hennig should of held the Tag Team Titles, that would of been absolutely perfect!

If the rumors that the result of the 93 Rumble was changed the day of to having Yoko win it instead of Macho, I can imagine why he would have been upset. He went from being in the main event of WM9 to the annuncer in 24 hours!

I think he was wasted during his final run in the WWF as well, especially considering he was still performing for years in WCW. Had he built his body back up in late 92-93 the way he did in WCW (albeit probably from some "help") I think he still could have been a main eventer.
