Only remember his WCW run and his short lived run as Jericho's bodyguard.

I remember in WCW when JYD headbutted him. His glasses broke and a shard went into Hughes' eye. When he returned from his injury, he turned face and called himself "Big Cat". But he didn't hang around long.

It seemed like he was just getting big with Harley Race as a manager and teaming with Vader when Lex Luger left and the bodyguard role was no longer needed. He never did stay long with WWF runs, wonder why he kept getting hired by them if he could never stick around. His 1993 run was probably his biggest but he was gone by Summerslam. I don't think he last more than the Royal Rumble HHH match in 1997. Then with 1999 I don't think he last more than a match.

I honestly liked Mr Hughes. I think he started out in the AWA as Curtis the Cat Hughes. I liked his look, he reminded of an African-American version of Big Bubba Rogers.

He could have stuck around for a while with Wippleman, bodyguard for Well Dunn perhaps or Wippleman only (since Kwang and Adam Bomb could probably hold their own) and then Wippleman wouldn't get into the fight with Finkel at WM 10 and Adam Bomb wouldn't be distracted. But Hughes just never stuck around long enough.

Jericho stated in his second book that Curtis Hughes has narcolepsy. Maybe the glasses kept on his head were to cover up his eyes in case he fell asleep at ringside...
P.S. CM Pepsi, you get exalted for your cool sig.

I only liked him when he was Lugers bodyguard. I thought it was pretty cool for a wrestler to have a bodyguard.
