Yep, a thread on that again. I just purchased the DVD set off of Amazon for less than five bucks and watched through them last night, and I couldn't help but think about how great it would've been if they'd been able to get the organization off of the ground. Before NWA-TNA came around, there really was no alternative for some of the bigger WCW and ECW stars who weren't scooped up in the buyout.
To those who'd watched the show, what'd you think? Would you like to see more of the unreleased episodes? WILL we ever see more?

Wow, never even heard of it. It died this year, as well?
Seems to be very similar to TNA. Also, where did they film post 2005? The Impact Zone became somewhat exclusive to TNA's shows. Did XWF find another venue?
If they folded this year, they must have been struggling. Imaginably, if they had some sort of success then they'd be where TNA is and TNA would be folding.

The only match I've ever seen from that promotion is Hulk Hogan vs Curt Henning (R.I.P.).

I remember when it first hit and I thought it was going to be a big thing.
This and that World Wrestling All-Stars or whatever it was called out of Australia.
I'm actually one of the few guys who like Wrestling Society X. I felt that had the most potential out of the "rival" promotions because it was something completely different.

IMO, the booking WSX had was insanely great.

Wow, never even heard of it. It died this year, as well? It was formed in 2001 shortly after WCW folded. Funny how you guys started mentioning WSX. Right after I was done with XWF, I ordered that and watched through it while on vacation. Matt Classic should've found his way into TNA or WWE.

I remember seeing the Hogan/ Henning match. It seemed like on ok promotion. I did find it wierd that Jerry Lawler was on commentary. All I remember hearing is they 5 or so episodes and quit.
World Wrestling All-Stars looked promising as well now that someone mentioned it. They had a broad variety of stars that weren't signed by WWE at the time.
Oh and I like WSX to!
