Randy Savage stretch figure from 1987, from the looks of the box they made a JYD Hogan Bundy, Piper, and George The animal. Anyone see these before.

I own a full set of eight of these. They appear to be very fragile and can leak quite easily. Don't whay LJN was thinking making these as they are to breakable to play with (back then).
Btw... the original commercial can be found on YouTube:

Btw... the original commercial can be found on YouTube: I don't think they were that fragile when they came out... Look in the commercial: those are wrestlers, stretching the figures. I'm sure a kid could safely stretch them. I think over the years the stretch-fluid does a weird chemical reaction...

The Stretch figures contain a strange white anthrax like powder (my Piper leaked from his armpit LOL), but it could be liquid that dried up. The JusToys stretch'ems contained a maple syrup-like liquid which is also disturbing. Kids could have swallowed that too.

I'm sure a kid could safely stretch them. I think over the years the stretch-fluid does a weird chemical reaction... Well, the only two LJN Stretch Wrestlers I ever owned (Paul Orndorff & Ricky Steamboat) were both when I was 9 or 10 years old, and my Orndorff leaked from the armpit within the first day I played with it. So they couldn't have been too durable, even brand new. That sucked, too, because I really liked them in concept. But once I saw how easily the Orndorff reduced itself to dust when played with, I felt like I couldn't do anything but display the Steamboat... which is no fun when you're 10. (Of course, as an adult, I now wish I had kept it.)

I owned the Hogan as a kid and have no memories of him leaking or breaking easily, but I'm sure after 20 years, these things would snap very easily. I recently bought a Hogan sealed on ebay, but I was disappointed in the box condition so I sold it again. Hopefully sometime in the future, I'll find another in great shape to add to my Hogan colletion.

I had the Roddy Piper. Kept it in the box. On the top shelf of my closet where it was usually pretty cool, and dark. After about 2 years it cracked open, and leaked everywhere.
