Figured since the game is out, and people make these things yearly for their franchises, I'd get the ball rolling.
Didn't really do much in the preseason, let the CPU do all the cuts and whatnot. DeSean Jackson [whom I re-signed, like we need to do in real life] went down with a herniated disc, and through Week 2, is still 2 weeks from returning.
Week 1: Eagles @ Rams
This game was closer than it should have been at first, with the halftime score just a 4 point Eagles lead at 21-17. After the half though, Philadelphia lit the scoreboard up, getting to 45-17 before Ram QB A.J. Feeley connected with Mark Clayton for a score. Another Alex Henery FG extended the Eagles' lead for what would be the final score, a 48-24 win.
TOP PERFORMERS
M. Vick: 9/16, 174 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 115.1 rating
L McCoy: 21 rushes, 211 yards, 3 TD
B. Celek: 4 catches, 80 yards
J. Maclin: 2 catches, 54 yards, 1 TD; 1 rush, 52 yards, 1 TD
LeSean McCoy was also the top RB in the league after Week 1.
Week 2: Eagles @ Falcons
In between games, the Eagles parted ways with receiver Johnnie Lee Higgins, and signed veteran receiver Terrell Owens to a 3 year deal. In a battle of what could be a potential playoff matchup, this was a one sided game. The Eagles jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead, which was the score at the half. They would add 2 more TDs before the Falcons managed to get a FG to make the score 35-3, which would be the final. Matt Ryan was off his game in this one, being sacked 6 times, 4 by big off-season signing Cullen Jenkins.
TOP PERFORMERS
M. Vick: 9/11, 223 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 158.3 rating; 2 rushes, 4 yards, 1 TD
L. McCoy: 19 rushes, 158 yards, 1 TD
T. Owens: 5 catches, 138 yards, 2 TD
Week 3: Giants @ Eagles
In a battle of undefeated division rivals, the Giants came down the turnpike looking to upset former teammate Steve Smith and his new team, the Philadelphia Eagles. In a game that saw Michael Vick throw his first INT of the season, this was a close one. Until the 4th quarter. With the score tied 10-10 at the start of the 4th, the Eagles were heading quickly to an overtime period, but that changed when LeSean McCoy broke off for a 37 yard TD run. Upon the Giants next possession, the Eagles defense sacked Eli Manning twice, resulting in a safety to put the Eagles up 19-10. And the next Giants possession would not fare any better, as Eli Manning was intercepted by Joselio Hanson who took the INT back for a Pick 6, putting the Eagles up 26-10. Another Shady McCoy TD made the score 33-10, and a 46 yard Alex Henery FG made the score 36-10. The Giants would score a late TD when Eli Manning connected with Hakeem Nicks to make the score 36-17, which would be the final. The Eagles defense was a nightmare for Eli Manning as well, sacking the younger Manning a total of 8 times, 4 of those by Mike Patterson.
TOP PERFORMERS:
M. Vick: 12/24, 266 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 72.6 rating
L. McCoy: 17 rushes, 95 yards, 3 TD
B. Celek: 5 catches, 109 yards
T. Owens: 3 catches, 49 yards
J. Maclin: 3 catches, 86 yards; 1 rush, 24 yards
Week 4: 49ers @ Eagles
Another tough game for the Eagles here. Bad game statistically for Michael Vick in this one. The Eagles were held to just 10 points through 3 quarters for the 2nd straight game. The 4th started and Alex Henery added 3 more FGs, and Shady McCoy scored the 2nd of 2 Eagles TDs for a 26-10 lead, which would be the final, sending the Eagles to a 4-0 record for the first time since 2004, where they won the NFC Conference Championship. Just 2 sacks for the Eagles defense today.
STATS:
M. Vick: 8/25, 161 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 55.6 rating; 3 rushes, 17 yards
L. McCoy: 26 rushes, 171 yards, 2 TD
T. Owens: 3 catches, 43 yards; 2 rushes, 8 yards
J. Maclin: 1 catch, 29 yards
B. Celek: 3 catches 71 yards
S. Smith: 1 catch, 18 yards
Week 5: Eagles @ Bills
Well this one was a return to the dominating form of Eagles football. Michael Vick had 2 picks, but also had TD passes for the first time since the Falcons game. LeSean McCoy continued to dominate on the ground, and had a few receptions as well. A quick 21-0 lead for Philadelphia was gotten before the Bills managed a FG. The score would be 35-3 before the Bills scored again, when Ryan Fitzpatrick and Roscoe Parrish connected on a long TD strike. Marlin Jackson picked off a late Fitzpatrick throw and took it for a Pick 6, and Joselio Hanson added another INT to his stats, which led to one of 3 LeSean McCoy rushing TDs. Eagles defense was a nightmare, gathering a total of 4 interceptions, and another 2 sacks of the opposing QB. The final score of this one, the Eagles win it, 45-10. They are now 5-0.
STATS:
M. Vick: 12/22, 153 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 68.9 rating
L. McCoy: 10 rushes, 136 yards, 3 TD; 4 catches, 18 yards, 1 TD
D. Jackson: 5 catches, 96 yards
J. Maclin: 2 catches, 20 yards
T. Owens: 1 catch, 19 yards
I cut Eldra Buckley and Mike Kafka in between Weeks 4 and 5. In their places, I signed QB Terrelle Pryorr and brought back, from the 2004 team as well [same with T.O.] Brian Westbrook. I was looking at signing Tiki Barber, but at his age, I wasn't willing to break the bank. I offered a 2 year deal for $10M with a $5M bonus and he declined, so I went with BWest.
Week 6: Eagles @ Redskins
Well the undefeated run is over. The Redskins drove fast down the field, and Rex Grossman connected with Santana Moss for the first points of the game. The Eagles would get a FG back from Alex Henery, but the Redskins matched that and led 10-3. The Eagles would get even with Washington at 10 all, but the Redskins would score twice more before the Eagles could get anything going, making the score 24-10 in the 3rd quarter. The Eagles managed to get back just 10 of the 14 points they needed, and thus, were defeated for the first time this season, final score being 24-20.
STATS:
M. Vick: 11/23, 209 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 61.7 rating
L. McCoy: 12 rushes, 118 yards, 1 TD
B. Westbrook: 2 rushes, 23 yards
D. Jackson: 1 catch, 16 yards; 3 rushes, 11 yards, 1 TD
T. Owens: 2 catches, 63 yards
J. Maclin: 1 catch, 52 yards
B. Celek: 3 catches, 38 yards
S. Smith: 2 catches, 39 yards
Week 7: BYE
Week 8: Cowboys @ Eagles
No 2nd loss to a division rival this week. The Eagles drove down field fast, and they scored 10 quick points. The offense was clicking on all cylinders tonight, with QB Michael Vick spreading the ball around equally. As well as a good air game, the run game was stellar as well with LeSean McCoy. The defense was a nightmare for Cowboys QB Tony Romo, who was sacked 5 times and threw 3 picks, all to Asante Samuel.
STATS:
M. Vick: 12/24, 328 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT
L. McCoy: 12 rushes, 142 yards, 1 TD
T. Owens: 4 catches, 84 yards, 1 TD
B. Celek: 4 catches, 71 yards
J. Maclin: 3 catches, 101 yards, 1 TD
D. Jackson: 2 catches, 22 yards, 1 TD
S. Smith: 1 catch, 50 yards, 1 TD
Week 9: Bears @ Eagles
This one was not a contest. The Eagles defense came out roaring from the start, with Joselio Hanson picking off an early Jay Cutler pass and returning it for a Pick 6. The next Bears possession, Jay Cutler fumbled on a sack, and LB Casey Matthews picked it up and rumbled into the endzone, and the score was quickly 14-0. Another Eagles TD and FG later, and the score was 24-0 at the half. Halftime did not slow the Eagles down at all, nor did it help the visitors from the Windy City. Michael Vick and the Eagles offense would add 2 more TDs before the Bears managed a 44 yard Robbie Gould FG, which made the score 38-3. The defense was, again, a nightmare for Cutler, sacking him 9 times and getting 2 interceptions in this one. The Eagles would tack on 2 more scores after the Bears' FG, including a Michael Vick rushing TD. That made the score what would be the final of this one, a blowout in Philadelphia, the Eagles win 52-3.
STATS:
M. Vick: 13/23, 338 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT; 3 rushes, 20 yards, 1 TD
L. McCoy: 9 rushes, 54 yards, 2 TD
B. Celek: 1 catch, 23 yards
T. Owens: 4 catches, 155 yards
D. Jackson: 1 catch, 12 yards
J. Maclin: 3 catches, 57 yards
S. Smith: 3 catches, 75 yards, 1 TD
O. Schmitt: 1 catch, 16 yards, 1 TD
Week 8: Cardinals @ Eagles
The Eagles dominated former teammate Kevin Kolb in this one. Arizona scored an early FG, which Philadelphia answered with a TD of theirs. Arizona answered that with a TD of their own, but then it was all Eagles in this one. The rain played a small part, causing a DeSean Jackson fumble on a punt return. Michael Vick had a season-high 4 TD passes and ran one in on his own in this one. Another 0 INT game for Vick, but Kevin Kolb was picked off once, which Joselio Hanson returned for another Pick 6 this season. The Eagles would score 31 points unanswered before Arizona added their late FG. Scary moment in the 3rd quarter, when RB LeSean McCoy was lost to some broken ribs. The timetable for his return is unknown at the present. However, the Eagles would prove that the game must go on for their injured teammate, and not let a good game go to waste. They added a late Vick-to-Jackson TD completion, and the Eagles improved their record to 8-1, with a 45-13 win over the visiting Cardinals.
STATS:
M. Vick: 10/24, 308 yards, 4 TD; 4 rushes, 45 yards, 1 TD
L. McCoy: 10 rushes, 75 yards
T. Owens: 4 catches, 115 yards
D. Jackson: 3 catches, 116 yards, 2 TD
J. Maclin: 3 catches, 77 yards, 2 TD
Week 11: Eagles @ Giants
Another division win here. This time, it was Philadelphia's turn to head up the turnpike and battle it out with the New York Giants. And just like in Week 3, this game was pretty much all Eagles. The Eagles defense would get a sack of Eli Manning in the endzone, one of 7 that the Eagles would get in this game. Jason Babin accounted for 5 of those. They would also nab 4 Manning passes. The Eagles would go up 12-0 before Eli Manning connected with Hakeem Nicks on a TD pass, the only points the Giants would score. Ronnie Brown would break the 100 yard mark for the first time this season. He definitely stepped up in the absence of LeSean McCoy. Michael Vick would have another 0 INT game, and he scored on a sneak TD himself. The Eagles defeat the Giants, 29-7, and stay a game ahead of the Redskins in the NFC East at 9-1. Up next for the team in midnight green, a battle of epic proportions, and what could easily be the February match-up of Super Bowl XLVI, as the Eagles welcome in Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
STATS:
M. Vick: 8/19, 157 yards, 1 TD; 6 rushes, 42 yards, 1 TD
R. Brown: 16 rushes, 134 yards, 1 TD
T. Owens: 5 catches, 103 yards, 1 TD
J. Maclin: 1 catch, 12 yards
D. Jackson: 1 catch, 9 yards
S. Smith: 1 catch, 33 yards
Week 12: Patriots @ Eagles
Well this game would NOT turn out like the 2007 meeting between the two teams, or the Super Bowl in 2005. This one was all Eagles from the start. A quick Pick 6 of Tom Brady led to the first Eagles TD, Vick to Jackson. On a Eagles punt, the ball was fumbled by New England and the Eagles recovered. That led to a FG from Alex Henery to make the score 10-0. The Eagles would get another TD before the Patriots managed to get a FG from Gostkowski. 2 sacks and 2 INT's of Tom Brady would tell the tale of this game, the Eagles winning it by a score of 27-10. They run their record to 10-1, again, the best since 2004 when they went to the Super Bowl. Could it happen again? It looks like it will be if they continue this play.
STATS:
M. Vick: 6/15, 103 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
R. Brown: 13 rushes, 62 yards, 2 TD
D. Jackson: 2 catches, 32 yards, 1 TD
T. Owens: 1 catch, 22 yards
J. Maclin: 1 catch, 24 yards
B. Celek: 2 catches, 25 yards
Week 13: Eagles @ Seahawks
This one was not pretty. If it wasn't for LeSean McCoyl, the Eagles may not have won this game. Mike Vick didn't have a decent statistical game. Not at all. Shady McCoy went over 100 yards again. But in the end, the Eagles came out on top, moving to 11-1 with a 25-16 win over the Seahawks.
STATS:
M. Vick: 10/24, 244 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 58.3 rating; 2 rushes, 23 yards
L. McCoy: 17 rushes, 132 yards, 1 TD
T. Owens: 4 catches, 71 yards
D. Jackson: 2 catches, 57 yards, 1 TD
J. Maclin: 3 catches, 94 yards
B. Celek: 1 catch, 22 yards
Week 14: Eagles @ Dolphins
Domination. In form. The Eagles started off quick, with 2 long runs by Michael Vick. He broke the 100 yard mark rushing in this game, and was almost to 100 passing before leaving in the 4th quarter with what was diagnosed as a sprained elbow. LeSean McCoy had another stellar game, nearing another 100 yard effort, and adding 2 more TD's. The Eagles would be up 24-0 well into the 4th quarter before DeSean Jackson muffed a punt and the Dolphins recovered within the 3 yard line. A defensive pass interference call on Asante Samuel gave the Dolphins 4 fresh downs and they punched it in, however failed to convert on the 2 point attempt. Defensive nightmare for Miami in this one too, Chad Henne was picked off 3 times, and sacked 4 times. The Eagles would add a late Alex Henery FG and one of Shady's 2 TDs and the final score of this one, 34-6. The Eagles are now 12-1.
STATS:
M. Vick: 6/14, 88 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 58.0 rating; 11 rushes, 127 yards
L. McCoy: 17 rushes, 96 yards, 2 TD
T. Owens: 4 catches, 72 yards, 1 TD
D. Jackson: 1 catch, 11 yards
Week 15: Jets @ Eagles
Well, the Jets came to Philadelphia, needing to win to stay in the race for the AFC East Title. They didn't do it. The Eagles quickly got an interception from Mark Sanchez, and drove down the field, but the drive stalled out at the 3, and they settled for an Alex Henery FG. The Jets answered in the 2nd quarter with a 43 yard LaDainian Tomlinson TD run. The next Eagles drive would be ended quickly when Michael Vick lost a fumble, which the Jets recovered and returned for a TD for a quick 14-3 lead. Jeremy Maclin would catch a big pass from Michael Vick, and Revis would overplay his coverage, and Maclin would take it for the TD, taking the score to 14-10, as it would be at the half. The Eagles added 2 more TD's in the 2nd half to break open a close game, and win 24-14. They move to 13-1, clinching the NFC East Title!! They also knocked the Jets out of contention for their own division title, thus giving the Patriots another division title, and one of the top 4 seeds in the AFC playoffs. Could they meet in February? Time will only tell.
STATS
M.Vick: 10/22, 291 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT; 8 rushes, 59 yards

J. Maclin: 3 catches, 118 yards, 2 TD
D. Jackson: 2 catches, 117 yards
B. Celek: 1 catch, 10 yards
Week 16: Eagles @ Cowboys
This was a close game, indeed! The Cowboys struck quickly and took a 7-0, to which the Eagles answered and made the score 7-7. An Alex Henery FG gave the Eagles a 10-7 lead, and they would take a 17-7 lead when Michael Vick connected for one of his 3 TD passes of the game, this one to DeSean Jackson. The Eagles would go for a 4th down run, but didn't convert, and the Cowboys thought they made the Eagles pay for that mistake. Tony Romo immediately connected with Dez Bryant on a 43 yard TD pass, and it seemed like Dallas was going to upend Philadelphia. But not to be turned away, Vick went back under center and back to work. He would throw deep for Jeremy Maclin, and the ball was tipped. Maclin, showing the field presence that we haven't seen since the days of Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin, turned around quickly, and snatched the ball before it hit the turf. One play later, Michael Vick would connect with Steve Smith for a 26 yard TD pass, giving the Eagles a 24-21 lead. Without any timeouts and only 48 seconds left on the clock, the Cowboys were backed into a corner. Unable to move the ball down the field, the clock ran out on Romo and the team from Dallas, and the Eagles would win it, 24-21, and clinch the overall #1 seed for the playoffs.
STATS

D. Jackson: 5 catches, 86 yards, 1 TD
S. Smith: 2 catches 38 yards, 1 TD
J. Maclin: 2 catches, 52 yards, 1 TD
Week 17: Redskins @ Eagles
Well Vick played. Shockingly. Guess to get some stats. The Eagles were not on full blast with this one, as they had already clinched the Conference's best record, and HFA and 1RB. Nothing much to say about this one. No flashy plays, no big plays, by either team, because they both knew they were in the Playoffs, so there was no need to really play 100%. The Eagles won it 13-3. They finished with a 15-1 record, 5-1 within the division, that is a Franchise best. Up next, a bye in the first round of the Playoffs, and they will be ready in a few weeks.
I'll be updating this post as I play each game.
Didn't really do much in the preseason, let the CPU do all the cuts and whatnot. DeSean Jackson [whom I re-signed, like we need to do in real life] went down with a herniated disc, and through Week 2, is still 2 weeks from returning.

L. McCoy: 8 rushes, 59 yards, 1 TD
T. owens: 4 catches, 46 yards
STATS
M. Vick: 12/21, 199 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 128.8 rating; 4 rushes, 17 yards
L. McCoy: 12 rushes, 74 yards
