First off I'd say that this is more of a visual thing but you should use two of the same stick or atleast two that are around the same size because it just looks off this way. Anywho, you should have done a jump going into it instead of having the stick just go right into it because it's not exactly possible this way and it's good practice. So this is more on the choppy side so try and use some more frames to smoothen it up. It was rather stiff too, like if you look at the back of the thicker stick it didn't move at all. to fix this just try and move every joint in every frame, as soon as you start doing this you'll have this fixed up. Anyway good job.
