Now, I was looking through the WWE Encyclopedia and I saw someone named The Mystery Man. I never heard of him, so I looked him up to see if he had any other gimmicks, but (not) shockingly I couldn't find anything about him. So for that I apologize about not having any pics to show you. I do now he wore a black outfit and I think furry boots as well. Any help to who he is what be appreciated and I'll give karma too. Also, I think I'll think a picture or something of his Encyclopedia part once my camera charges. Any help would be great.

In 1991 it was Brutus Beefcake who wore the mask and fur outfit, rumored names were Mariner and Fur Face but as Mystery Man is used in the book I don't think a real character name was created. He would attack bad guys like Rick Martel and Earthquake after matches. I'm not sure how long he last, I don't remember him from TV other than what I've read.

he's also been referred to as run in man, because that's all he ever did before the gimmick was dropped and he went back to being the Barber.

I wonder what writers think having to spend money on outfits like Brutus' above or Gobbledy Gooker where the gimmick goes nowhere or the fans hate it or having wrestlers get Tattoos like Earthquake/Shark when everyone knows who it is or Brian Lee Undertaker when the gimmick ends a month or two later. Some things don't make much sense.
I guess the face mask was so that if Beefcake did wrestle or run-in and get in harm's way the effect wouldn't be as bad (like his mask at WM 9) but in this match I think a true Beefcake appearance would've been awesome. Granted run-in man hit Rick Martel IIRC but would've made a lot more sense if Brutus made a triumphent return to the side of his former partner Greg Valentine. Then he could go on to the Barber Shop.

You'd think Valentine would've recognized his former tag-team championship partner no matter what he's wearing.
