How many guys do you think actually were using this stuff back in the 80s-90s? Thought the classic section might enjoy this. Discuss!

I believe a good 80% did the steroids back in the day at bare minimum.

I never did understand the big deal with taking steroids. I mean Dr. D is saying "tell the kids you took a short cut, tell them you took steroids"....Seriously, what kind of role model is that? You're basically telling the kids to cheat in life to get ahead. That's not right. Sure Hogan lies and says he trains and take vitamins...but ya know, id rather tell kids that then say "Stick a needle in your ass". Do we not lie about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny as well?? Its no different....
Also, I love and respect the guy but every time i see Billy Graham trash Hulk Hogan I think its simply out of jealousy. Hulk basically modeled his look and structure after Graham and became the biggest Icon in professional wrestling where as Billy Graham more or less just became another old guy. He sounds so bitter and jealous and all I ever hear is him trashing Hogan and nobody else. What about Warrior? Rude? Savage? Muraco?

You must have no clue about the real facts of steroids, do you. You just don't stick a needle in your ass and get big. You still have to workout a ton to get as big as guys like Hogan and Steiner in their primes(same as any pro athlete as well). The basic explanation is that steroids help your muscles recover faster from workouts and allow you to workout more often and for longer periods of time, but guys like Hogan still had to work their asses off in the gym.

No shit, I know how they work but its still taking a short cut. There's no need to tell kids its ok to take a short cut to get ahead in life. If they learn it as they go then fine but when your suppose to be "family entertainment" you shouldn't be bringing it up.

Dibiase tried them but said they weren't for him. Cocaine was is drug of choice.
Jake all though we have seen him on all sorts of stuff (Crack, weed, etc) honestly don't think he was on steroids, not with that frame.

Jake was on the roids for a bit. You can see during the 90s when he got really cut.
Everyone who worked for the WWF used them at some point. It really is just a matter of how much and to what extent. Just like today, most everyone in WWE is still on steroids. The Wellness program is just a bogus now as there program was then. The only difference is that they fire or suspend lower midcard guys a few times a year to keep a front up that everything is on the up and up.
Anyone who believes otherwise is foolish.
They have cut back on steroid use, just as they did in the early 90s though. In the late 80s is when things were really bad in the WWF. Everyone was juiced to the max.

It would probably be a fair assumption to say that most of the roster back then was on them.
First of all, there are many different kinds of steroids. Some are for mass or size, and some are for strength and fat loss. Just like Fandan mentioned, when Jake got really cut up, he was probably on a cycle for strength gains and fat loss.
Hogan is a very obvious user (I believe he still uses). Look at the size difference from his peak in WWF to when he signed with WCW. It was like a different person.
And totally unrelated, but still relevant, I believe that many on the current WWE roster are using some form of performance enhancing drugs right now.

I know there are different types of roids and all since I have done many research papers on the usage with athletes but thanks for the input bro (srs). And I definitely agree that most of the WWE roster is still on something. The difference is, if they want to get you out of there then they will put that Wellness policy crap on you IMO.
