Psycho. Pretty scary for an old movie imo. I love Hitchcock & what I love about Psycho & also The Birds...is that there are actually 2 movies blended into each -- the story about the woman stealing from her boss & running off is quite interesting in itself I think that's why it works so well, because you're intrigued by her story and then boom...we get norman's story which is a doozy **the same with The Birds...interesting story about a cooky young lady & her interest in the guy, she being a troublemaker & where they will end up...then all the sudden the craziness ensues |

WarriorMan, I just love this movie. Nick Nolte's performance is fantastic. Just a hard hitting masterclass in storytelling. Brilliant movie. My last 2 were Never Back Down(with my nephew) Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home |

War of the worlds remake. Could have done a lot better at explaining what happened to the aliens

One Night in Old Mexico. 3 out of 5 A decent movie that kept me entertained. There was some things that I did not like but for the most part this movie wasnt horrible. Changing Lanes

There was so much wrong with this movie. I kept watching thinking it would pick up at any moment but it never does. It lingers on slowly moving the story along, nothing very entertaining but not horrible.Completely agree with you on this one. It offers a lot, but never delivers. Could've been a good movie. |

A couple in the theater.
Gone Girl - Fincher's latest and probably one of his weakest. It's essentially a glossy "Lifetime" movie flipped on it's head. It's a movie that will keep you second guessing and has a tremendous score(best part of film) that adds to the suspense and intensity. I just feel like I've seen this story before, it just has some nifty editing, great score, a couple of twists and some appropriate commentary on the medias role in shaping peoples opinions. It's clever but unoriginal. C+
Guardians of the Galaxy - Complete popcorn, sci-fi, superhero action flick. It delivers, though it's probably not half as funny as it thinks it is, but it's self aware which makes it a joy to watch. B+

The Conjuring
Not as scary as its been made out to be and a bit predictable at times. My little girl Ashlynn walked into the lounge during the exorcism towards the end, tears ensued after that.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One
Now that it's getting colder, it puts me in the mood to watch the series again. I'm used to catching bits and pieces on ABC Family marathons that they run around this time of the year.
