Anybody else hate that the WWE made the HIAC super tall compared to the old one? HAIC is about being confined w/ your opponent w/ no escape. W/ the super tall ceiling, it just doesn't look as threatening or confining anymore. Plus, no way anybody goes on top and takes a fall off it as long as it stays that heigh. Anybody else not like the super tall design?

I completely agree man, although the height could be used as an intimidation factor in its own right. It being smaller fitted the confinement more though and I much preferred it.

I have a love/hate relationship with the new one. I think the Undertaker/Batista and Undertaker/Edge HIAC matches do a good job of show howing the new cell can be used, and how the extra space can be used properly.
I do find it a bit ironic that I was thinking to myself "Man, with all the height of the new cell, someone could finally climb a ladder and have enough height to work with." And only one HIAC match has used it.
I prefer the look of the old one, and the destructability of it.

Seems like the matches just aren't as believable anymore. Or should I say it's not really...."Hell" in a Cell if you get my drift.

I also prefer the old one.
I hate that none of the recent HIAC matches have any blood......it was crucial to those matches.they were ultra heated wars to settle scores now theyare just another stip.
sigh.

The old one, most definitely. The height factor of the new one never comes into play, it's also jarring to see the cell walls at times...

The old one was much better. I don't really like the current.

I can't even get excited for Hell in a cell matches anymore, i remember going to school as a 9 year old in 1997 and hearing the older kids talking about the blood and violence in the Hell in the Cell match. (and KANE!!!)
I was so excited about going home and watching it because my older brother had taped it for me. Most of the Hell in the Cell matches recently have been tame.

All HIAC match fall short to the Mankind/Undertaker one. Nothing can ever top that one as Foley flying from the top is to the day one of the sickest and unpredictable moments in the history of the WWE

Yeah to be honest looking back there haven't been that many great HIAC matches considering how many there's been. I mean obviously Taker/Foley sets the standard and that level of brutality isn't going to happen too often.
But Taker/Foley, Foley/HHH, and Lesnar/Taker are the only GREAT HIAC matches in my oppinion. Maybe I've missed one out, not sure. Taker/HBK deserves a mention as it was the first too.

It just looks like he'd be feeling that for weeks maybe months. I also prefer the old HIAC.

I also thought Edge/Taker was pretty cool. I don't really recall anyone breaking THROUGH the cage before. (Not counting when Foley went through the roof.)

Edge Taker was pretty good but NEEDED blood badly.after all Edge had done to UT and the hammering Edges head got around the cell it was incredulous that he didnt bleed. I remember watching that thinking "WTF"?

i loved hhh/foley, with how foley used the stairs to bust through the cell paneling.
i like the old one too, but the new one is evidently more supportive and stable.
