I remember a few years ago I was sitting watching an MMA style event and Bad News Allen surprisingly appeared on it in a match I can't remember exactly when but it was a few years after he had left the WWF, I don't remember him doing anything else in wrestling though after the WWF.

no he never went to WCW.he just wrestled indies until 99 when he had to pack it in because of a knee injury.
Coage was a real life hard man.his character was also great.....tough loner who hated other heels as much as faces.

One of the Apter magazines reported that he had won over $80,000 in the Canadian lottery. I assume he lived off of that for quite a while.

He also worked in Winnipeg for a bit as the Natural's (Cyrus/Jackyl/Don Callis) bodyguard and as a commentator in a horrible revival of Stampede Wrestling in Calgary.

Allen Coage had to retired after twenty-two years in the ring due to the poor condition of his knees..
Allen & Helen Coage lived in Calgary, and had nine children -- three boys and six girls -- and 14 grandkids.. Allen Coage worked occasional spot shows for promoters like
Tony Condello (Winnipeg) & Tim Flowers (Vancouver).. Allen Coage said he'd eventually like to end up promoting a wrestling organization out of Calgary, Alberta..
Allen Coage was working on a book about his career filled with inside wrestling stories before his death..
2005: Rick Bogner & "Bad News" Allen Coage now run a wrestling school out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada..
March 6, 2007: Bad News Allen Coage suddenly passed away from a heart attack at 5:30 a.m. at the age of 63..
May 27, 2007--Bad News Allen Tribute Show: Helen Coage attended with some of Allen's children and grandchildren..

To me he was an early version of the Stone Cold character, Austin didn't discriminate 1996/97, he hated everyone & was a loner. Anyone remember the time Monsoon made him get a tag team partner (to replace the injured HBK I think) and he tried to get Harvey Wippleman, cause he hated every other wrestlers lol. Classic

Yeah at Survivors 89 he walked out on The Enforcers when Bossman clobbered him by mistake, so took off. Pretty sure he did it at Survivors 88 too, but thats not as memorable, I could be mistaken hough.

Bad News Brown's WWF shtick was totally an early version of the Stone Cold Steve Austin character (although I don't think it was intentional... seems like it just worked out that way).
Aside from the ring attire, attitude, and hatred toward all wrestlers and management equally, he also had one of the key elements of the early Stone Cold gimmick: Paranoia.
Bad News was always yelling about conspiracies against him and the fact that he was being held back from opponents he had earned the right to face. Think about when Stone Cold first caught fire in summer & fall of 1996. He used to cut McMahon off in promos on Raw and complain that they didn't want to give him TV time, so he was going to take it by himself.
Then when Bret Hart came back and they booked him against Bret at Survivor Series that year, the storyline was that Austin wanted to stake his claim as the best in the WWF but resented that everyone was so in love with Bret Hart.
