I know this topic has been done a million times, but I always enjoy reading people's picks and deciding on mine:
Who are your top-20 (or whatever number you want) personal favorite wrestling superstars/characters of all time?
Include anyone you want (wrestlers, managers, women, announcers, etc), any era, any promotion, any level of achievement/fame/skill/career-length.
This list is simply the superstars/characters who you love to watch the most and have for whatever reason earned a special place in your heart. The sort of stars who you would watch a show specifically because they were on it, the sort of stars that remind you of how much you love wrestling, the stars that give you chills down your spine and have brought you the most happiness and excitement, and you mark out like crazy whenever you see them.
----
I went with top-40 for my list as I couldn't bare to leave any of these guys off: (in no order)
01) Chris Jericho 02) William Regal 03) The Hurricane/Shane Helms 04) Diamond Dallas Page 05) Eddie Guerrero 06) Ultimo Dragon 07) Bobby Heenan 08) Buff Bagwell 09) Meng/Haku 10) Paul Bearer 11) Sherri Martel 12) Sting 13) Big Vito 14) Chyna 15) Booker T 16) The Big Show/The Giant 17) Eric Bischoff 18) Kane 19) Jimmy Hart 20) Madusa 21) Sonny Onoo 22) La Parka 23) Hugh Morrus 24) Chris Kanyon/Mortis 25) Arn Anderson 26) Stone Cold Steve Austin 27) Rey Mysterio Jr. 28) The One Man Gang 29) Rowdy Roddy Piper 30) Big Bubba Rogers (wasn't a fan of any of his other gimmicks though) 31) Dean Malenko 32) Scott Steiner 33) Ric Flair 34) Hollywood Hogan (NWO era only, I wasn't a Hulkamania fan) 35) Scott Hall 36) Kevin Nash 37) The Rock 38) Disco Inferno 39 + 40) The Nasty Boys: Brian Knobs & Jerry Sags

This is really hard to do and while these no doubt are my top 20 if I were to do this list again in a few months the order would probably be different lol except for the top 3.

01. The Ultimate Warrior 02. Ravishing Rick Rude 03. Mr. Perfect 04. The Rock 05. Sting (Surfer Era, not Crow Era) 06. Bret Hart 07. Randy Savage 08. Demolition (Ax and Smash) 09. The Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) 10. The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) 11. The Twin Towers (Akeem and Big Bossman) 12. Big Van Vader 13. Jake Roberts 14. Goldust 15. Ric Flair 16. Undertaker (Grey Glove and Purple Glove Era) 17. The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques & Raymond Rougeau) 18. Steve Austin (Stunning and Stone Cold) 19. Nikita Koloff 20. The Great Muta
That's probably what my list would look like (for the most part). I cheated a little by including tag teams as 1 spot, but oh well. The order isn't necessarily exact, except for the Top 4.

Now I see that I left Nash and Warrior off mine and feel like I need to make some changes. Lists like that are always tough for me to put together.

That was actually tougher than I expected. I'm sure I left off some of my favorites but I've been watching for so long there's just to many. yeh same, i figured it would be a quick fun topic to start, ended up taking me about 2 hours to decide on my picks! and i originally wanted to keep to a top-20, but as soon as i got to 20 i thought of a couple of other people i felt i had to include and didn't want to take anyone off, so i expanded to top 25, then again, i thought of more. obviously i came to the final conclusion that i couldn't list all my absolute favorite superstars with a number any less than 40! lol i also wanted to make sure i was only putting people on the list who i was/am personally a huge fan of, it was hard to base it on my own opinion alone and avoid automatically putting down legends who everyone thinks are great without actually thinking about it myself. in the end i think i surprised myself with some of my exclusions and inclusions. like the nasty boys and arn anderson. off the top of my head i'd have told you i wasn't much of a fan, but the more i thought about it, the more fond memories come back to me and i watched a couple of random matches of them on youtube and it made me realize how much i did enjoy watching them. i guess i just didn't realize at the time. so i feel choosing my own picks for this thread has helped me recognise more my appreciation for certain stars. and on the other hand it made me realize some of the guys i thought i liked, actually when i think about it, i'm not as big fan of them as i thought i was. I cheated a little by including tag teams as 1 spot, but oh well. doesn't matter, like i said, you can choose your own number really. it's not really fair to limit the number anyway, since the more wrestling you've watched, the more stars and the more parts of careers you will see, and therefore the more favorites you will develop. and as you can see i decided I couldn't list all my favorites with less than 40 picks. and thats just from watching wrestling from 1995-2001, especially WCW but lots of WWF too. obviously plenty of fans will have watched wrestling for a lot longer than me.
