Randy Orton posted the following messages on Twitter in response to angry fans:
"Biggest change from Raw to Smackdown...Ignorance x Jealousy + Spoilers = entertaining tweets!! Keep em coming!!"
"I'm def a fan of Capt Charisma. I always have great matches against him. I look forward to his rematch."
One fan said:
"I love how people think you screwed Christian in real life. Its a business. He'll get another rematch. Get over it people......."
And Orton responded with:
"well said"
In another exchange, a fan said:
"I don't think people are mad ur champ ur great we are angry cuz @christian4peeps is deserving and doesn't get a shot"
And Orton responded with:
"well I can understand that gripe. I was happy for him as well Sunday night. I made sure to congratulate him afterwards"
His first reply makes him seem like a giant douchebag.

He's just hamming it up in his first tweet and provoking the fans thats all. I can't wait for christians rematch he was deserving for a championship run.

My man Orton definitely deserves to be World Heavyweight Champion, Orton hasn't even held the World Heavyweight Championship belt since 2004 where he lost it to Triple H, sure Orton has been WWE Champion, but this is his 2nd time being World Heavyweight Champion, and plus Orton hasn't been champion since November when he lost his WWE Title to Miz when Miz cashed it in on him

And he hasn't been WWE champ since... you guessed it... ever. He deserved a better reign. And when it comes to deserving it, Christian wins out. Period. |

Honestly putting Christian over Randy Orton clean would cement him as a main event figure and make people think he was more than just a way to get the belt on to Orton.

can't blame Orton, I'm sure it wasn't his idea, he's just doing his job. however it was a terrible decision and makes me not want to watch Smackdown for a while.

My problems with Orton are separate from my problems with WWE and the Christian situation. Had you replaced Christian with ADR I would still have a problem with Orton winning on Friday.
That being said, I'm interested in two things a) how the Christian situation plays out, which I'm fairly positive won't lead to another title reign and b) how the Smackdown ratings do over the next few weeks.

I don't blame Orton much for this since he doesn't book the show, but w/ his bad attitude over the years, I wouldn't be surprised if he threw a fit for going to SD and Vince threw him the title. He also could have just said "No" to this is he truely was a good guy. The funny thing is that Christian's one, 2-day title reign will be more emotional and memorable than all of Randy's 1,368 title reigns. If Vince did this for ratings, well he lost one viewer in me. No way I'm watching SD now. I'm interested to see if SD's ratings will take a hit from this backlash. |

Thinking about it, with Randy Orton as the face of Smackdown. Christian will probably be raised to the main event level for three months with a heel turn. Having his moment stolen by Randy Orton. I just wish he would put some size back on, people say it doesn't matter, but wrestling isn't about wrestling now, it's about appearance and what sells. Back when he got to the main event level feuding with John Cena he looked better, he's heel character was great. He wasn't a legit main eventer then but he was working to it ever so slowly. Whilst I think they pulled the trigger very late to get him to the main event level as a title holder, since returning to be quite honest loosing all attraction to that level for me now, if they milk the Edge thing a bit, how meaningful his title win was and turn him heel against Orton it could spring some life in to him for me. Face Christian is  ing bland. |

Blaming Orton is stupid. If you have an issue with the situation, I guess your problem should be with the WWE, not Orton. Personally, I'm not angry with either, although I would have liked to have seen a better reign for Christian.
