Hey,
I was just converting some of my older WWF wrestling stuff to DVD when I noticed I had a bunch of the old Billionaire Ted skits. Man, that stuff was hilarious.
For those that don't know, Billionaire Ted was a spoof on Ted Turner, the former owner of WCW and he kept on wanting to buy the WWF and it's generation superstars.
Those skits also featured other characters like The Huckster (a Hulk Hogan spoof), The Nacho Man (Randy Savage knock-off) and even Scheme Gene (an imposter Mean Gene).
What's even funnier is that Vince Russo is even featured in the skits as one of Billionaire Ted's board members.
Not only did Ted Turner end up buying out some of the WWF generation superstars that Billionaire Ted was talking about like Razor Ramon, Diesel and Ahmed Johnson but he also bought out Vince Russo as well. Pretty funny stuff.
It also had a rip-off of Larry King with Larry Fling Live and the BNN (Billionaire News Network).
As well as a game-show segment called Tee Vee Trivia featuring Billionaire Ted and some chick named Candy.
These segments all led up to the special "Geriatric Match" at WrestleMania XII between The Huckster and The Nacho Man with Billionaire Ted as the special referee.
What interesting about that match is, is that they used a totally different person as The Huckster than the one that was shown during the War-Room skits. The same for Scheme Gene. That was a different person as well.
I believe that match can only be seen on a live recording of WrestleMania XII and not on any of the other official vhs tapes or DVD's of that event. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
Does anyone else remember these skits?? If so, what I've been wanting to know for years and years is just who in the hell played these guys??
Who played the first Huckster?? And the 2nd Huckster?? Who were The Nacho Man and Billionaire Ted?? Who were the two Scheme Gene characters??
If anyone has any info on these skits and who might have played the characters, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot and enjoy the pics.
