If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, GA, you better read the signs and respect the law and order or... you'll be serving Hard Times... you know The Big Bossman will make you walk the line, you better watch out boy or you'll be serving Hard Times! ;D Today's The Big Bossman Ray Traylor's Birthday, he would've been 48 today. Bossman is my all-time favorite wrestler and Idol. I was fortunate enought to meet him twice in July 2004, just two months before he passed on. I've met alot of wrestlers and he was the nicest and most down to earth one that I've met. As Gorilla Monsoon, used to say..."it's a travesty of justice" that he isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame!!! He's sooo underrated! Ray was one of the best big men in wrestling history, the best in my opinion. He was so great as a babyface or heel, which can't be said about alot of wrestlers. His promos were so entertaing. I have so many favorite Bossman moments, from his feud with Hulk Hogan to the time he took after Arsenio Hall on his talk show to his feuds as a babyface with Heenan, The Mountie and Nailz to the time he was the ref as Guardian Angel in the Sting vs Avalanche (Earthquake) match where he turned heel and returned to his roots as Big Bubba Rogers...that was a awesome promo of his after the match! His great return as Big Bossman in the WWF in '98 and his role in McMahon's Corporation, his infamous feuds with Al Snow and Big Show, and etc., etc. Ray is missed so very much and wrestling hasn't been the same without him in it! Rest in Peace Ray! 5/2/63-9/22/04 PS If anyone on here is on Facebook and would "Like" my Big Bossman Fan Club, it would be appreciated! ;D Just look up Big Bossman Fan Club

Big Bossman was one of my favorites growing up, if only due to my father telling me stories about how they were friends while he was a prison guard in Cobb County (my dad was and still is a cop in Forest Park, GA and life long wrestling fan and was often mistaken for Ray Traylor, due to their similar appearence). Big fan

The Twin Towers will always be one of my favorite tag teams ever. I was googling pictures of The Twin Towers that I could post in this thread, when I came across this awesome T-Shirt: I gotta have this haha

Was one of the all time greast I was lucky enough to see him wrestle the Bezerker at a house show in Glasgow in 92. I loved the feud he had with the Heenan family and all the brains jokes about Bossman's momma. For a big guy he was really quick on his feet and a all round great performer in the ring.
One of my good memories of wrestling as a kid was WM7 when my younger brother and I were debating the IC tile match at WM7 I was convinced that Bossman was going to win but my brother would not budge one bit and would argue till he was blue in the face that Mr Perfect would not lose. His great logic for this reason being that Bossman was to fat for the belt. That was his whole argument for his case Bossman was to fat for the belt.

The Big Boss Man always mattered to me.
Hated him as a heel loved him as a face(I remember his "face"Hasbro figs was one of my most played with)
and when he rejoined WWF and was Vinnies enforcer I loved that too because he was great in the role.

I always thought Bossman would go over Mr Perfect for the IC title at WM7, it would have been the perfect (no pun intended) culmination to the Heenan family feud taking their prized possesion. Hennig could have got the belt back around June ready for the Bret match at Summerslam 91. Perfect vs Bossman was the first ever WWF match I ever saw, it was in November 1990 on SNME. Good times

The Bossman Slam is one of the greatest finishing moves of all time, it always looked damn brutal when he would hit that thing out of nowhere.
And wow, I hate to say it, but if that picture in your sig is just two months before his passing then damn, he looked to be in horrible shape. I'm not talking out of shape horrible looking, just sickly looking, makes me sad.

As for Bossman, he did a local indy show near here and I got to briefly meet him as he was heading out. Seemed like a super nice guy, sadly we lost him less then two weeks later. Its crazy to think about how close the meeting to him and his death was but to be honest, he didnt look good physically when I saw him.

Loved Bossman - only started watching WWF when he was face but enjoyed the Twin Towers. Great t-shirt!
Also his Hasbro figures were cool and was a good character to play in WWF Wrestlefest. Was very happy to see him come 'home' to join the Corporation.
*** Edit *** I too was lucky to see him wrestle on UK Rampage and European tours.

Great thread, an underrated performer, most definitely, loved his feud with Hogan as a kid and team with Akeem, as well as his enforcer gimmick, which he did well too...

was never familiar with his work til he debuted in the WWF in 1988... i'll be honest,i thought he was a fat, evil bastard! ( though as a heel, that was to be welcomed!?) , but i have to say he lost a LOT of weight in 1990 and by 1991 was his slimmest ever, and i was impressed at how much more energy he had and crisper his moves were....i too was saddened he didn't win the IC Title at WM 7....seemed he was building to that,by going through all the Heenan Family Members up to the "prized possession" o Henning...
i still remember being totally surprised when he reappeared in the WWF in the fall of 1998 ,taking off his ski-mask and shocking the wrestling world....

He was really good in his first WWF run, and when he came back in the black attire he was pretty bad ass. But for some reason, everything he did in WCW sucked. It was weird how he such a jobber there (Guardian, Big Boss, Big Bubba, Ray Traylor, etc) but he was so cool in the WWF.
