I posted a few months ago asking if someone/anyone remembered a Angle in which Y2J defeated HHH on raw for the world title and then later in the evening HHH said if he won the rematch (the same night on raw) that the title change would never be recognized, it was one of my favorite matches and when I posted the question here everyone said ... This never happened, it was a ppv, it was only a 1 time change not a multiple change,etc... ,yada,yada,yada...... Well I knew it existed and now you can see for yourself if you go to youtube and type in "Chris Jericho Beats HHH For The WWF Title!".. Its there.....The match that never happend............ So all you smarts now know it did happen..................

That match is well known, and also the night me and my friends called each other as it went to the commercials. We were all excited, and then later pissed off.
It was such an unexpected things to happen (Chris Jericho winning the title) that it made everyone jump out of their seat.

You've got it so wrong though. Jericho did beat Triple H, but only because Earl Hebner fast counted it. Triple H forced Earl back out and made him reverse the decision. So technically no, there was no night when Jericho won the title and Triple H won a rematch later in the night to reverse the decision.

Who the hell told you that this didn't happen? It's like.. A well known fact. It was a major ratings boost at the time.
He only won because APA where there, who took out Shane if I remember... and Earl Hebner (who was fired later that night) who was fast-counted.

In addition to what had already been said, it was neither on RAW nor PPV, but SmackDown!.

The official story from The History of WWE dot com: Not only is this a well-known match, but it's recently been featured on TWO different WWE DVDs (Raw 15th Anniversary, Chris Jericho's DVD). There should be more wrestling fans on this board that remember it well than those who flatly deny that it happened. Which makes me question the claim that "everyone" here denied it. Clearly, several of us wouldn't have denied it unless heavily sedated or temporarily insane. Who the hell told you that this didn't happen? It's like.. A well known fact. It was a major ratings boost at the time. . I second this... and I'd like you to show us the original thread, so we know exactly who you're putting in their place, here. Otherwise, it comes across like we're all idiots, and that's clearly not the case.

I thought that people originally said that "It Didn't Happen" as a reference to what the name of the moment was.
On the Raw 10th Anniversary DVD, the segment is listed as, "It Didn't Happen"
I also believe Triple H said something along the lines of "It didn't happen."

Hm... guess it was the latter. Short term memory loss strikes again. Either way, I remembered it happening lol

He'd never be champ there!" only to it reversed shortly thereafter.... have to admit,it did seem kind of a weird thing to do,considering they were building to a Rock - HHH match for the belt at Backlash , but i thought maybe HHH would enact the rematch clause and win it back at SmackDown that week or something...
