LARRY SWEENEY: 1982-2011
Ring of Poison were today extremely saddened to learn of the passing of "Sweet 'n' Sour" Larry Sweeney. While the exact circumstances are at the moment unknown, it is heartbreaking to see another supremely talented performer lost at such a young age.
While Sweeney had only been in ROP a mere matter of months, his work had always been admired and served as an influence here. As a result of his passing, the storyline involving Larry, The All Night Express and The Heenan Family will no longer go ahead. It is felt that the storyline, based around deceased wrestlers is in somewhat bad taste and as such, will be truncated.
We here at Ring of Poison promise a fitting tribute to Larry, to be announced at a later date.
