This was during Vince Russo's genius era of "worked shoots". Meaning it was meant to seem like a shoot, but completely a work.

^^ Exactly. I believe it was the first of several times Russo would use this. Although technically the first " laydown" was during the Bischoff regime, a la the Fingerpoke of Doom.
