PWI magazine was a keeper of Kayfabe magazine and they always mentioned Vince was the owner in the 80s, that of course was not in the context off WWF programming though. This!!! I remember being so confused as a kid in the 80's because PWI, Inside Wrestling, and the other news stand magazines always talked about Vince being the owner of the WWF. It didn't make sense to me because he seemed like just another annoucer on television. |

My grandfather told me back in the late 80's (he read the Apter mags) and I told him he was wrong. I, also, was convinced that Vince was just a commentator.
