I will challenge that. Cena will BEAT Miz at Mania with the help of The Rock. Mark MY words. Now it's on! I'm with Rook. BOOM! *High Five* In all seriousness though, Del Rio and Edge is the only match that I'm not 100% confident on who will win.

Glad about Trish being in another WM match and having LayCool, Morrison, Ziggler, and to an extent Snooki is cool to me.

Never thought I'd get to say that I'm going to see Snooki wrestle in a match, live.

While Im surprised they actually are going through with this 6-person tag,its not the end of the world. Puts both Morrison and Ziggler on the card, which they will probably wrestle the majority of the match anyway.
Somebody mentioned this in the RAW thread, but how awesome would it be if Sin Cara made his debut the week before WrestleMania, issuing a challenge for Mania and its answered by Bourne? There were reports of Bourne having a big part in Mania, so why not lol.

If not that match I would guess a US or IC title match if that gets on the card..

The card is shaping up; this is how they should do it:
9) WWE Championship The Miz vs John Cena Note: With The Rock getting involved somehow
8) Streak on the Line Triple H vs The Undertaker
Hall of Fame Class of 2011 Introduced
7) Mixed Tag Match Trish Stratus, Snooki, John Morrison vs Lay-Cool, Dolph Ziggler
6) World Heavyweight Title Edge(c) vs Alberto Del Rio
5) 8-Man Tag Big Show, Kane, Christian & Kevin Nash vs The Corre
4) Street Fight Randy Orton vs CM Punk
3) Michael Cole w/Jack Swagger vs Jerry Lawler w/Jimmy Hart Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin
2) U.S Title - Triple Threat Ladder Match Sheamus(c) vs Evan Bourne vs Daniel Bryan
1) Cody Rhodes vs Rey Mysterio
A couple of things:
- Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and Booker T i think will be announcing the show.
- I see a lot of The Rock backstage promos throughout the show with various superstars
- I never put Kofi Kingston on the card . . . . . . but he still might have a match at the show. I could see Kofi Kingston issuing some sort of open challenge for his I.C title which is accepted by Sin Cara. I could see Sin Cara beating Kofi Kingston very quickly since they are reportedly trying to bury him.
your thoughts?

Really upset about how they are using Ziggler/Morrison. Two young, talented men with tons of potential have to face/team with Snooki on the grandest stage of them all! It's a darn shame.

I hope they don't kick the show off with a Rock promo. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, seeing as he's the host and it would make sense for him to welcome the world to Wrestlemania. But if they're going to have him cut a live promo, I'd rather they do it after a match or two. I'd rather see them kick off the program with a Triple Threat Match for the US title with Daniel Bryan vs. Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus. Would be a hell of an opener. Rey/Cody wouldn't be bad either.

So...the match I'm looking most forward to is Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole, at least in terms of storyline. Seriously, this has been amazing, especially considering how much of a smarmy ass Cole has been for the past few months, and then built up to this overblown, over-the-top, ridiculously ego maniacal heel. The only way to do this match is to have it be completely over-booked, like McMahon vs. McMahon from 17.
But I LOVE that Cole hasn't been physically harmed at ALL, so when Lawler finally gets his hands on Cole, the crowd will have a nuclear meltdown.

I really do hope Sheamus defends his newly won US title against Bryan and Bourne.
That would be a great first match.
If they want to be a little nice let Ted sneak in [to take the fall..] but if not I am perfectly happy with the triple threat idea.

Every year around this time, when my Wrestlemania excitement has reached its peak, I try to put together a rundown of how I'd book the show if I had creative control. This includes matches already scheduled, and the rest I think may be booked (or I think should be booked) to fill out the card...
So, here's my rundown for this year's Showcase of the Immortals...
Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes: A perfect way to open up Wrestlemania, a mid-card feud with a lot of build. I expect a great match between these two, and Rhodes may finally be able to break into the spotlight. Rhodes has the upper hand throughout much of the match, and we see an appearance from Dusty Rhodes, who enters the ring near the end of the bout and tries to attack Rey. Rey counters and sends him into the ropes, where Cody already waits. He pulls of a double 619 and body splahs on Cody for the win. Winner: Rey Mysterio
*I know a lot of people probably think Cody needs a win here, and I agree to a certain extent. However, I've got a lot of heels booked to win on this show, and they can very easy have a rematch the following month in which Rhodes picks up the victory.
Backstage, Matt Striker attempts to get into Michael Cole's locker room for an interview regarding his match tonight. Jack Swagger refuses access, saying Cole is preparing for his main event moment.
Todd Grisham is joined by Shawn Michaels, who says he's ecstatic to see Triple H vs. The Undertaker tonight. They ask him for predictions, and he says as much as he loves to believe Triple H can be the guy to end the streak, he's seen what The Undertaker can do first hand - twice, actually, and that Triple H may very well die trying tonight.
2-on-4 Handicap Match Kane & The Big Show vs. The Corre: Though this has yet to be booked, I have a feeling it will be in some fashion. Throwaway match, really. The Corre is on a downward spiral, this could help bring back a slight bit of credibility. Show and Kane dominate throughout most of the match until Ezekiel Jackson and Wade Barrett start to tag heavily into the bout. Jackson, Gabriel, and Slater are eventually able to hold The Big Show back while Barrett hits Wasteland on Kane to get the victory. Winners: The Corre
After the match, Kane and The Big Show go on a rampage, taking out The Corre and sending the crowd out of this segment happy.
After a brief promo, we return to ringside as The Rock's music hits.
The Rock cuts a relatively brief promo, welcoming everyone to Wrestlemania and declaring that he knows what the people want to see tonight. The Rock announces that he will be at ringside as the special guest enforcer for the WWE Championship match between The Miz and John Cena.
Vickie Guerrero is seen backstage giving a pep talk to LayCool and Dolph Ziggler. She says she's been embarrassed on Smackdown for years and her career on Raw has started no differently. She expects that to change tonight. She wants them to beat Trish, Snooki, and Morrison, and then leave a little piece of Snooki for her to finish off.
Six Person Mixed Tag Team Match Dolph Ziggler & LayCool vs. John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki Morrison and Ziggler start the match off and work the majority of it. Trish gets occasional tags, working with both McCool and Layla, and Snooki comes in once mid-match against a downed Layla but is forced to quickly tag out after Layla tags in Dolph. Ziggler eventually tags in Michelle, while Morrison tags in Trish. Trish hits the Stratusfaction on McCool, Ziggler gets in the ring to stop the count. Morrison quickly attacks Ziggler, who flees to the outside of the ring. Morrison dives over the top rope, taking out Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. Trish intercepts Layla, taking her down and delivers a huge kick to head of McCool. Trish tags in Snooki, who pins Michelle for the three count. Winners: John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki
After the match, Vickie returns to her feet and beings throwing a temper tantrum. She gets in the ring and tries to attack Snooki, but Snooki pounces on her and beats her down. LayCool retrieve the fallen Vickie and dejectedly leave the ringside area.
Todd Grisham is backstage with the World Heavyweight Champion, Edge to discuss his upcoming title match against #1 Contender, Alberto Del Rio. They briefly discuss events from this past Friday's Smackdown, when Edge took out Brodus Clay to ensure that he'd be facing Del Rio one on one.
(Build Package for Orton/Punk)
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk A back and forth contest with several near falls and twists and turns. With The New Nexus entirely shelved, Punk is forced to go at it alone against the Viper. After a grueling battle, Punk lifts Orton to attempt a GTS, but Orton slides down the back and connects with an RKO. Orton is too weak to make the cover immediately, but eventually drapes an arm across Punk. Punk kicks out at 2 and a half, and the match continues. After a few more minutes, Punk tries to kick Orton in the head, Randy ducks and Punk connects with the referee. With the referee down. Immediately after, Randy nails an RKO on Punk and hooks the leg, but quickly realizes there is no referee. Orton stands slowly and, realizing he's got time, sizes Punk up, who has crawled his way into the corner and is hugging the bottom turnbuckle. Orton gets that crazed look in his eye, backs up to the other side of the ring and prepares to charge for the punt. He does so, but CM Punk moves away at the last second, revealing that he took the turnbuckle pad with him. Orton cannot stop his stride and he delivers a swift kick to the exposed steel turnbuckle. Punk stands and delivers a devastating GTS, meanwhile a new referee has moved into position. Punk covers Orton for the three count. Winner: CM Punk
Punk immediately grabs a microphone and states that he should have known that all along, he never needed the New Nexus. He beat Orton tonight by himself, simply because he is better than Randy Orton. Punk makes it clear that the Nexus is dead, and just as he's a bout to wrap up his promo, Randy Orton spins him around and delivers an RKO for good measure. Orton sells his foot by limping to the back, leaving Punk downed in the ring.
The Rock is seen backstage in his office for the evening, presumably involved in some sort of comedic segment with Santino and Vladimir Kozlov. Afterward, The Rock meets with the referee for tonight's WWE Title match and tells him how important it is that he be on high alert, as he doesn't trust The Miz or John Cena.
The Hall of Fame Class of 2011 is introduced
(Build Package for Edge/Del Rio)
World Heavyweight Championship Match Edge (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio Del Rio locks the arm bar in on Edge early, but the champion is able to find his way to the ropes. Del Rio gloats momentarily about having Edge within his grasp so early, and continues to work on the injured arm throughout the course of the match. Edge eventually recovers and the two go back and forth. Edge eventually connects with the Edgecution and gets a near fall on Del Rio. he then realizes he has Del Rio where he wants him. Edge heads to the corner and sizes up his challenger, preparing for a Spear. Just before he's about to charge, Ricardo enters the ring and pleads with Edge not to do it. Edge hesitates only momentarily, but then delivers a huge Spear to Ricardo. He then prepares to hit Del Rio with the Spear as well. Del Rio slowly wanders to his feet while the referee checks on Ricardo and rolls him to the outside. Edge charges Del Rio, not noticing that Christian has jumped the barricade and grabbed Edge's World Title. Christian jumps onto the ring, Del Rio moves at the last second and Edge gets hit in the face with the World Championship. Del Rio quickly rolls Edge up for a three count. Winner, and new World Heavyweight Champion: Alberto Del Rio
After the match, Christian stands over a fallen Edge as boos rain down.
Todd Grisham is standing with the special guest referee for the Cole/Lawler match, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Todd asks Austin about what he expects to see out of the match tonight, but is quickly interrupted by Jack Swagger. Swagger gets in Stone Cold's face and tells him he better call the match fair and square, because as long as he does, we all know what will happen. Stone Cold laughs at Swagger and walks away.
(Build Package for Cole/Lawler)
Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin Michael Cole (w/ Jack Swagger) vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler King issues a beat down on Michael Cole in the early going. Eventually, Swagger provides enough distraction for Cole to get some shots in and start to turn the tide a bit on the King. Cole eventually is able to put the Ankle Lock on Lawler and hold it for quite a while. King slowly but surely reaches the ropes and Austin is forced to break the hold. Austin and Cole go back and forth arguing, giving King enough time to stand up. Cole distracts Stone Cold long enough for Swagger to enter the ring and deliver a Gutwrench Powerbomb to King. Cole quickly makes the cover, but the King kicks out with just barely half a second left. Cole begins complaining, and Swagger enters the ring, saying it was a slow count from Austin. Stone Cold briefly entertains Swagger's complaints, but then delivers a Stunner, sending Cole's trainer packing. King returns to his feet and delivers his signature piledriver, but instead of pinning Cole, locks him in the Ankle Lock. Cole quickly taps out, but Lawler continues to apply pressure until he's satisfied. Winner: Jerry 'The King" Lawler
After the match, Stone Cold beer salutes the King, and Austin delivers a second Stunner to Jack Swagger, and one to Michael Cole as well.
We move backstage to The Miz's locker room, where the fired Alex Riley has somehow gotten into the stadium. He is giving The Miz a pep talk, telling him that he's the greatest champion of all time and he's going to embarrass both John Cena and The Rock tonight. The Miz makes it clear that Riley isn't to get involved, because he doesn't want anyone making excuses for him when he beats John Cena fair and square tonight.
(Build Package for Triple H/Undertaker)
No Holds Barred Triple H vs. The Undertaker Much like their battle ten years ago, this one becomes violent quick and keeps up that pace throughout much of the match. The battle in and out of the ring, through the crowd, around the stadium and eventually up on the entrance stage. Toward the end of the match, Triple H takes advantage over The Undertaker is able to hit a Pedigree on the stage. The pain to H's knees is excruciating and he is unable to to capitalize on it by getting The Undertaker back into the ring. Eventually both men saunter down toward ringside and Triple H hits another Pedigree inside the ring. The Undertaker kicks out at the count of two. Triple H brings the steel steps inside, hoping to finish The Undertaker off, but he's countered in the process and The Undertaker drills Triple H on to the steel steps with a Tombstone Piledriver for the three count. Winner: The Undertaker
The Undertaker kneels ominously in the ring as "19-0" graces the entrance stage. Triple H is seen shaking his head, but showing his respect to The Undertaker as he heads up the ramp.
Todd Grisham is backstage with John Cena, preparing for the main event up next. He asks him what he's done to prepare for The Miz and The Rock, and how he expects The Rock's addition as guest enforcer is going to change his strategy. Cena tells him that he knows The Rock well enough to know he's going to keep out of Cena's business, at least during the match. He tells Todd that from bell to bell, it's all about The Miz, but once the smoke has cleared, he's going to go toe to toe with The People's Champion.
(Build Package for Cena/Miz/Rock)
WWE Championship Match Special Guest Enforcer: The Rock The Miz (c) vs. John Cena Cena makes an example out of The Miz in the early going, beating him down from corner to corner and occasionally stealing glances over at The Rock, who is sitting patiently at ringside. The Miz eventually comes back into it and the match becomes back and forth paced. Eventually, The Miz catches The Rock mouthing something to the timekeeper and laughing. He exits the ring and begins screaming at The Rock, belittling him and getting right in his face, claiming The Rock is making small talk while the most must see champion of all time is working. The Rock entertains The Miz for a bit, until The Miz pushes The Rock. Rock responds with a shot to the face, and The Miz goes down. The referee briefly considers calling for the bell, but The Rock tells the referee to let it go. Cena responds, taking Miz back in the ring, all while paying close attention to The Rock at ringside. After several minutes, Cena lifts The Miz up, looking for an Attitude Adjustment. The Miz rakes Cena's eye and slides down the back and hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Cena. He covers him, but Cena is able to kick out at the last second. The Rock grabs a mic and claims the referee is doing an insufficient job calling the biggest match of the year, as he totally missed The Miz's rake to the eye a moment ago. He tells the referee to to kindly exit the ring and let The Rock take over officiating duties. The Miz complains, but eventually continues his beat down of Cena as the transition takes place. The Miz eventually gets too arrogant for his own good and attempts to beat John Cena with an Attitude Adjustment of his own. Cena slides down the back and follows up with a real Attitude Adjustment, pinning The Miz for the 1-2-3. Winner, and new WWE Champion: John Cena
After the match, The Miz attacks Cena from behind, absolutely irate. The Rock watches as The Miz pounds on Cena, and eventually stands to face him. The Miz fires one shot which is blocked by The Rock. Rock delivers a Rock Bottom to The Miz. Cena returns to his feet and the stare down finally happens. The Rock and Cena stare each other down an eternity and eventually, Cena extends his hand. The Rock looks down at the hand and back at Cena, and eventually accepts the handshake. As Cena goes to turn back around, The Rock pulls him in, delivers a Rock Bottom, and follows up with a People's Elbow. He takes the WWE Championship and lays it over Cena's waist as Wrestlemania comes to a close.
-----
I was sort of at a loss as to how to end the title match and make it work. Having no interaction at all between The Rock and John Cena would likely ruin the show, but the way I ran with it makes both Cena and The Miz look incredibly weak, while giving the spotlight to a guy that won't be around for anything more than twenty-four hours following Wrestlemania. Similarly, I had an alternative ending in which The Miz wins with that Skull Crushing Finale mentioned during he match, followed by the same post match events, other than The Rock draping the title on Cena's waist, of course.
As I said, just the way I'd do things. I like to do this for fun every year as Wrestlemania approaches. Hope you guys enjoy it.
EDIT: I realize there's potential for some sort of U.S. or Intercontinental title match or combination of the two, but I've left it out for the time being as there's really no rhyme or reason to a possible prediction at this point.

As I mentioned a little while back, I wanted to create some match graphics for this year, seeing as it is Wrestlemania and we never have those anymore. I've been trying to whip something up for weeks, but I never liked the finished product. I'm not sure I'm happy with this either, but it works. Feel free to let me know if you guys would like to have these for the main page of this post, and I'll go ahead and finish the others. Feel free to use them for yourselves as well if you'd like...

Tbh, the match i'm most excited about right now is Team Vickie vs Team Snooki. -Ziggler and Morrison could easily steal the show as they are incredibly athletic and the only real 'high flyers' it WWE right now. (Morrison more so) -I'm personally a huge fan of LayCool -I think Dolph Ziggler will turn face or atleast turn on Vickie -Snooki is there, which means maybe, just maybe, we might see The Situation

Here is how I would book the show from start to finish
Start: We go straight to the arena for America the Beautiful
Promo: Wrestlemania opening video package . . . . then immediately back to the arena for fireworks and then the guest host of Wrestlemania is welcomed . . . . . . . . . . . The Rock.
Short In-Ring Promo by the Rock, he punks Cena and Miz and says that he will be at ringside during their match. The Rock finishes off by saying that Jim Ross will announce Wrestlemania. JR comes out. So our announce team is Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and Booker T.
1st Match: Cody Rhodes vs Rey Mysterio
Quick backstage promo with both champions, Sheamus and Kofi Kingston.
2nd Match: Ladder Match for I.C and U.S Titles Kofi Kingston(c) vs Sheamus(c) vs Christian vs Drew McIntyre vs Daniel Bryan vs Evan Bourne

Video package for Lawler/Cole
3rd Match: Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole w/Jack Swagger Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin Note: Jerry Lawler goes backstage during the video promo for his entrance and then after the match goes back to the announce table
Obvious post match beer drinking with Austin

Video package Edge/Del Rio
6th Match: World Heavyweight Title Edge(c) vs Alberto Del Rio Note: I see both Christian and Brodus Clay getting involved

So with 7 matches announced already "realistically" what other matches will take place?. i love the idea of Kane/Big Show/Diesel vs. The Corre. i doubt Diesel will be involved seeing as we have'nt seen him since the Rumble, but he would be a nice surprise tag team partner for them announced at the last minute on the show before the bout starts. Kane/Big Show vs The Corre is welcome by me as well. any other ideas?. i know Wrestlemania 17 had 11 matches so with the 7 already announced and the possible Kane/Big Show vs The Corre or Kane/Big Show/Diesel vs. The Corre what other 3 or so matches should be announced?. either way it looks like a good show so far the way things are shaping up .
