I have faint memories of seeing Hogan teasing glimpses of Renegade and actually thinking it was the Ultimate Warrior. It was only when he appeared I realised that it wasn't the real Warrior. Tragic that he took his own life and I'm surprised/relieved more recently-released wrestlers don't resort to it.

ah Renegade......more nonsense from the pre nWo WCW.
I often forget that this man has passed on-and yeah it is sad.

Very sad to hear about how Williams dealt with it, reminds me a little of what happened with Kanyon...which is also very sad.

Oh, I definitely remember The Renegade. Even though he was clearly an Ultimate Warrior rip-off, I still think he gets a bad rap. I mean, I don't think he was a bad wrestler in the least. I know I've seen far worse than The Renegade.
Hell, I remember when The Renegade won the WCW Television title from Arn Anderson. You've gotta be something special to not only beat Arn Anderson, but beat him for a title. Not too many people have, but The Renegade was one of them.
And yes, it is extremely sad that he took his own life. I would've liked to see him get repackaged under a new gimmick in the WWF and see how he would have done, but we'll never know.
