Just been watching this, well the IronMan match and I had to ask, did everyone know that Taker was indeed coming back?
There was a massive pop when the 'judgment day is here' promo showed before the match, but was it pretty much confirmed?
I remember, only being 8 or so at the time being told by my Uncle that Undertaker was coming back at Judgment Day, and I was going crazy for it.
Plus, those promo's were insanely great, wish they'd still do stuff like that now

I was shocked when he returned-and so different in his appearance......it stunned me.

I thought it was going to be Kane. Kane was on hiatus at the time and if you went to the website for the ppv the cursor was Kane's mask.

My friend was talking to me about this on Saturday. I guess there were promo pictures of Kane's mask with Undertaker's symbol in his eyes.

i remember the poster was kane. i personally had no idea if the undertaker was returning or not.
i also remember that the rock and triple h's match at fully loaded 98 was a much better time limit match than this one.

I had an idea when I saw the poster - Kanes mask with the Undertaker symbol in the eye. But I had no idea he'd be riding out on a motorcycle. That just was killer

they almost gave us a preview of the american badass at the event i actually already mentioned in this thread, fully loaded 98. they tried to hype it as if taker wasn't going to show to team with austin to face mankind/kane as austin and taker were building their feud for summerslam the next month. the event shows undertaker arriving in full out street clothes, essentially in his american badass gear and even not playing the dark/surreal character seemingly. just thought i'd throw that out there.

I was at this show...and I remember a security guard saying "Undertaker is riding around on a motorcycle backstage" to me and the people I were with.
