At what looks to be Halloween Havoc, when DDP gave the Diamond Cutter to Goldberg, those fans went nuts.

I liked him better as a manager than a wrestler. The guy had charisma, no doubt.

I like DDP but if you look at the ratings for Nitro after Spring Stampede 99 where he won the belt, it really shows that they lost a lot of viewers who never returned. Granted you can't put that all on Page but it's still pretty damning. honestly I think that has zero to do with DDP.after the Fingerpoke of Doom in January people left in droves and never returned.....this was just a continuation of that.

And so on. DDP won the title on April 11th, holding it till early May. Again I don't blame him entirely but the fact is that people stopped tuning in during his reign. An ill-advised heel turn probably didn't help.

Its still crazy to look at WCW dying days and see they were still blowing current TNA and WWE out of the water with ratings.

Totally overrated and undeserving of the honor of having been a former World Champion, let alone a multi-time champ. I did not like him as an AWA manager, WCW Manager either, and he totally ruined the Freebirds for me. Thank you! To me, his WCW title reign was as lackluster as Bobby Lashley's ECW reign. Bad tattoos, awful hair and invisible eyebrows. He wasn't known for his wrestling ability, that's for sure. I have no idea how he got such a push in wrestling. And having him & Oliver Humperdink join The Freebirds was about as enjoyable as a 20 minute bass solo. Hell, he even ruined "The Devil's Rejects" for me. Now all we get to hear about is is "yoga for guys". Ugh. You're from New Jersey. We know. Now shut up and go away forever. Give him credit for that. Many athletes are learning the value of yoga for recovering from injuries and extending their careers as they age.

WCW did not die because of DDP, they died because of AOL. DDP however is one of the worst World Champions of all time, along with his contemporaries Jeff Jarrett, and Booker T. When the belt is being passed around to those 3 individuals, then you know something is terribly wrong.

way to try and twist my point, I'm hardly suggesting DDP killed WCW. I'm just pointing out that the ratings went down.

I know the ratings dropped, the WWF had a better product and WCW had restrictions placed on them that made it impossible for them to compete with the WWF, and then putting the title on a midcarder like DDP did not help matters.

I loved DDP in WCW, but when they made him Sara's stalker in the WWF, all I kept thinking about was this...

I loved DDP in WCW, but when they made him Sara's stalker in the WWF, all I kept thinking about was this... I hated that storyline, simply because DDP was in it, but what makes it totally ridiculous is the fact that 1. Undertaker married that hideous thing, and 2. That DDP would feel the need to stalk IT when he has Kimberly when he had Kimberly at home.
