It was right after the WrestleMania X Ladder Match that Shawn Michaels took quite a rest from actual wrestling. It wasn't until really the 1995 Royal Rumble that he actually began wrestlign full-time again.
I mean yes during 1994 HBK had an occassional tag match with Diesel, but one question I always wondered was why didn't Shawn wrestle more? I just assumed it was to help put Diesel over. ANybody have any light to shed on this matter?

I really don't remember the reason. Maybe it had to do with some sort of agreement of working 'x amount of dates' after he had renegotiated his deal after the whole suspension while being IC champ thing?

Thought about this the other day, after I watched Summerslam 94. Good topic.

I have wondered this too and I think the most likely explanation is some form of nagging injury and Vince was resting him up

They were emphasizing on Diesel getting over.

My mind is taking a break from memory, and it's pissing me off. I've read his book twice now and can't remember if it shed light on this. Did it?

They were emphasizing on Diesel getting over. That has always been my assumption. But I just find it odd that right after a match of the year at WrestleMania X, HBK sits out for practically 8-9 months with the exception of a few tag team matches with Diesel.
