Jerry Lawler: Hello, wrestling fans! Welcome to SeCWrestling.com's coverage of the 2010 MWA Draft! We are less than 24 hours away from the start of the draft that will change the face of Pic-Fedding forever! I'm coming to you live, from Miami, Florida: The home of Southeastern Championship Wrestling Headquarters. I know you watching at home are just as excited as this draft as I am, but let me give you the rules of tonight's draft. This is straight from the MWA Guidelines. 'The Draft will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Monday, August 23rd 2010. Each federation will have six hours to make their selection. After a pick is made, the six hour clock stars immediately for the next federation in the line-up. If a federation fails to make their selection within six hours, they will lose that pick, and will have to make it up in the 24 hour signing period. The order of the draft is as follows:
1. Southeast Championship Wrestling 2. Eastern Wrestling Federation 3. IWF 4. Mattel Southwest
The format for the Draft is as follows:
Round #1 Pick #1 - Fed A Pick #2 - Fed B Pick #3 - Fed C Pick #4 - Fed D
Round #2 Pick #1 - Fed D Pick #2 - Fed C Pick #3 - Fed B Pick #4 - Fed A
Round #3 Pick #1 - Fed A Pick #2 - Fed B Pick #3 - Fed C Pick #4 - Fed D
Round #4 Pick #1 - Fed D Pick #2 - Fed C Pick #3 - Fed B Pick #4 - Fed A
...and this process will continue for 15 rounds. After the last Draft pick is made, the organizations will have 24 hours to sign their final five superstars.
Jerry Lawler: Shew, now that we have that out of the way, I can tell you where you can watch live coverage of the MWA Draft! You can follow the draft online at WFIGS, or at SeCW's official website: secwrestling.proboards.comLuckily for me, I get to watch the draft unfold in-studio. Which means I get to see every minute of the draft via...THE DRAFT TRON! That's right, I get to watch this thing as long as I want. But, enough about this wonderful piece of equipment. Please welcome the President of Southeastern Championship Wrestling: Christopher S. Masters! Jerry Lawler: Mr. President, thank you so much for joining me at this time of night.
Christopher S. Masters: King, it's no problem. I haven't been this excited in a long time. I mean the last time I truly was excited, this happened: Jerry Lawler: Man, that was something. Christopher S. Masters: Can you believe I can still do that? Jerry Lawler: Seriously? Christopher S. Masters: Of course. But look, King, I have some very important business to attend to. Let's get on with the interview. Jerry Lawler: Of course, down to business. Mr. Masters, I think what everyone is wanting to know is: Why did you choose to join up with the Mattel Wrestling Alliance? Christopher S. Masters: Well, King, it's quite simple actually. When I decided to step into a leadership role here at SeCW, I knew I had to do something to better this company. Admit it, we were losing money, business, and fans. But, this MWA has breathed a new life into SeCw. I was not about to miss out on this opportunity. Jerry Lawler: That makes perfect sense. What is SeCW going to bring to the MWA? Christopher S. Masters: Well, I think that all depends on what comes to SeCW, via the Draft. However, I can promise that we will always strive to be the best Pic Fed in the world. Jerry Lawler: I see you're carrying the new Southeastern Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. How are you going to decide who holds that belt? Christopher S. Masters: Well, King, on the first episode of SeCW Slam! we will be holding a 15 man Over-The-Top-Rope Battle Royale consisting of all of our draft picks. The winner will be the SeCW Heavyweight Champion. Jerry Lawler: Can you provide us any information on how the overall Mattel Wrestling Alliance World Champion will be determined? Christopher S. Masters: I cannot reveal that information at this time, King. However, we will crown a Mattel Wrestling Alliance World Champion soon after the Draft. And King, unfortunately I must return to the Conference Room and discuss our Draft picks. Have a good night. Jerry Lawler: Thank you, Mr. President. Well, there you have it folks! There's nothing left to say except: Stay tuned to secwrestling.proboards.com and WFIGS. The Draft kicks off tonight at midnight, with SeCW making the first pick! Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week as this historic event unfolds. __________________________________________ Note: Due to no Mattel figures of Lawler and Masters, I had to use Jakks for this segment. No worries, though. Every superstar in SeCW and in MWA will be Mattel.

1. With a 24 hour clock, this could take months to finish. Just through round 4 you have 16 24 hour periods. With 15 rounds that is 60 24 hour periods or 2 months.
2. Chris Masters? Really?

We want people to get in draft picks as soon as possible. 4 hours should be enough time. And about the whole Masters thing, just stay tuned. That's all I'm going to say. I knew some would criticize my decision. But it's better than Flair, Vince, or Bischoff.

I knew some would criticize my decision. But it's better than Flair, Vince, or Bischoff. What could be easier to do in case the draft ends up not going so well because of time limits. Each fed could submit a list of 35-40 guys that they would like on their roster and rank them from 1 to 35-40 as how they would draft them. So let's say Fed 1's number 1 is HHH. Fed 2's number 1 is Shawn Michaels. Fed 3's number 1 is the Undertaker. Fed 4's number 1 is HHH. Well since Fed 1 draws first, you would drop down to Fed 4's number 2 and that would be their first pick, unless their pick number two was either HBK or Undertaker and then it would drop down to pick 3 and if HBK or Undertaker are pick 3, then Fed 4 would get their 4th pick as their number one draft pick. Then when the second round starts, we start from Fed 4's number 5 pick and then go with Fed 3's number 2 pick and Fed 2's number 2 pick and Fed 1's number 2 pick, unless someone before them drafts their pick then you would go down their list to the next pick. If everyone just sent in their list, I could figure out who gets who. But I'm just saying in case the draft doesn't work out for you.

I think we're gonna try the draft, just because we've been planning on it.
But, as far as SeCW goes, it'll be a very interactive Fed. I'm planning on posting a weekly 'King's Korner' blog with Jerry Lawler. Also, there will be a weekly SeCW Afterburn, highligting everything going on in the world of SeCW of MWA.
I've got some big things planned for this fed, and I hope everyone else is as excited for the MWA as I am. Once again Slappy I appreciate your support and taking the time to reply to the thread.

It was just an idea in case the draft doesn't get up and running.
No problem, I can't wait to see the feds in action.

But yeah the draft will go smoothly, unless Sick decides not to show up. If he doesn't, he'll be looking at alot of free agents he'll have to get.

Posted via secwrestling.proboards.com________________________________ Welcome to the King's Korner. A weekly blog posted by SeCW Commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler.Sunday, August 23rd. 12:54 a.m. EST.Well, wrestling fans, it seems as if already some people are trying to drag down SeCW. WFIGS user Slappy posted derogotory comments about our President: Christopher S. Masters. "Chris Masters? Really?" President Masters fired back at his critics: "Look, the SeCW Board of Directors put me here for a reason. I know I'm not the oldest guy around here, but I'm a business man. And besides that, I don't make the decisions, I just relay them. When asked what he meant by the previous comment, Masters seemed nervous and apprehensive. He simply said: "I shouldn't have said that." To be honest, I was a bit shocked as well when I was told that Chris would be running things around here. I'm still puzzled at what he meant when he said: "I don't make the decisions, I just relay them." Hopefully the meaning of that statement will be revealed soon. But, I believe in the decision of the SeCW Board of Directors to place Chris in that position. If they trust him, I'll trust him. Fans, I can hardly contain my excitement for the Draft! It's about 20 hours away, and I'm already bursting with excitement. Just think of the possibilites of who SeCW could take with the first pick! Cena, Jericho, Orton, even Edge! The bottom line is, we are in control of this thing. We hold the first pick! It's a great feeling, and everyone here at SeCW Headquarters is buzzing about it. J.R. and I will be giving live coverage of the Draft starting tonight 11:00 p.m. I've been asked by the SeCW Board of Directors to inform you about SeCW Slam! On the inauguaral episode, every one of our 15 draft picks will compete in a Battle Royale to determine the SeCW Heavyweight Champion. ...Now you're probably asking how all the members of our roster can compete in one match. Here's the deal: Throughout the show, the superstars will be competing in matches to enter later in the match. If you win, you're guaranteed a higher number in the match. If you lose, not so lucky. It's an interesting concept, and the Board is very excited about it. The funny thing about it, though, is that nobody knows who's on the Board of Directors, minus Masters. We're all recieving letters from the B.O.D. giving us tasks to complete. But not once have they signed their names or anything. Kind've odd, but oh well. Guess they're super-busy right now. You would think, however, that the SeCW owner would comment on the draft. Hmmm, it's just sort've weird. One thing I can confirm, is that J.R. and I will be providing commentary for Slam! and all other SeCW events. If you'd like to email me a question for the SeCW Administration, or myself, drop WFIGS Member StingerSplash a Personal Message. Other tidbits of information: Dolph Ziggler was seen snooping around SeCW Headquarters yesterday. Don't know what that's about. The Miz has been sending letters like crazy asking the B.O.D. to select him first overall. And I'm being told that 'big things' are in store here in SeCW. Well, guys, I better get some sleep. I'll be covering this draft for a long time starting this morning. Enjoy the draft fans. Thanks for supporting Southeastern Championship Wrestling, and the Mattel Wrestling Alliance.

From PWI.com
A major shift is taking place in the world of professional wrestling, as MWA is getting set to hold their superstar draft. For those unfamiliar, here's some background info:
In June of 2010, Vincent Kennedy McMahon informed the world that he was retiring, and would be closing the doors of the WWE forever. This left a huge void in the wrestling world, and many a fans was disappointed.
However, rumors began to circulate that 4 men were buying up equipment and preparing to start their own feds.
In August, a plan was revealed, and MWA was born. These 4 men revealed that they indeed would be starting their own feds, but rather than operating on their own, would be paying homage to the history of wrestling by having a territory system set up.
It is truly an exciting time to be a wrestling fan, and we here at PWI cannot wait to see what happens!

Posted via secwrestling.proboards.com________________ Blog Post: Sunday, August 22nd. 8:29 p.m. ESTWhat's up SeCW fans? It's the President here, just wanting to try out this new blogging feature. Speaking of which, every SeCW Superstar and official will get an account right here on SeCWrestling.com. That means that you can keep up with all of your favorite stars. Just look in the 'Roster Blog' sub-board in the Roster board. Let me start off by saying how excited I am about tonight's draft. SeCW is hoping to land some big name athletes, and I think with our positioning in the draft, we can do just that. We're picking first overall, and trust me, we plan on making an impact with that pick. I'd also like to comment on what I said last night. I am in full authoritative power of this company. I am not a 'sheep' as some of you are referring to me as. There may be higher-ups, but I am entrusted with the position of President, and I will do my best to fufill that role. Alot of speculation is roaming around about who the 'Higher-Ups' are, and who exactly is the owner of this company. Well, I can't reveal that information. The Board of Directors and our Owner prefer to remain anonymous. They feel that if they are known, and are an on-screen character that they will draw away from the 'Territory.' That's a decision I will respect, and I will do my best to run this federation. I'd also like to say how happy I am to be a part of the Mattel Wrestling Alliance. It's such an exciting time to be a wrestling fan. So much in fact, that sometimes I wish I were just watching instead of calling the shots. But, it's such a great feeling to be a part of something this historic. Plus, did you guys catch that PWI article earlier? Great read. Alright guys, that's about all I've got time for. The draft starts in 3 and-a-half hours! We're all so excited. I'll blog again tomorrow summing up the day's draft rounds. Thanks again for supporting SeCW and the Mattel Wrestling Alliance.

Site Update: Posted Sunday, August 22nd. 10:56 p.m. EST
Fans we are just one hour away from the start of the MWA Draft! Here's the latest news regarding the draft:

*The Draft will be featured with minute-by-minute coverage on both WFIGS and SeCW.com

"Can't wait to be selected first overall by SeCW. I already know it'll be me. I mean, who else could it be? There's only one choice, and that's me. Because I'm the Miz, and I'm Awesome!"
Are Miz's predictions correct? Only time will tell.
*The first episode of SeCW Slam! is set for October. We'll have more information on this as it becomes available.
Stay tuned to SeCW.com and WFIGS for all news involving Southeastern Championship Wrestling and the Mattel Wrestling Alliance.
