hello all LJN collectors (if there are many here).
This thread is just out of my personal curiosity. After being a member for awhile now and doing posting in most topics, I have come to notice that there aren't many LJN questions or comments.
I don't have the entire collection by any means, however, I have a LJN ring set up and its full of wrestlers standing up (non MOC). I have tried to collect only the wrestlers that I have enjoyed watching over the years and any rare LJN's that I know of. The ones I am missing are Bossman, Haku, and Warlord.
How many people still collect LJN's or atleast have an LJN collection sitting at your house? If you do collect, what type have you collected, how do you display them, etc...
Thanks in advance for all the replies.

I have a loose set that is in mint condition. Im only missing a couple variants. I have the ring and the cage as well.
I plan to add the new LJN style figures to the display as long as Jakks does them right and are in scale with the originals.

I had over 40 of them plus the ring and several bendies, thumb wrestlers and stretch wrestlers when I was a kid.
Today, the only ones I still have are a very beat up Hulk Hogan (original version), Roddy Piper (amazingly, I still have the kilt), George Steele and Randy Savage. I chose to keep those four for sentimental reasons.
I absolutely love LJNs, but have resisted the urge to rebuild my collection due to space limitations and the high prices of some of the figures.

I have a full set, but some are loose. I am constantly looking to swap my loose ones for MOCs and hope to have a full MOC set some day. It's my very slow growing part of my collection.
Lately my focus is on 2-packs, like the Thumb sets, bendie Tag Team sets and regular Tag Teams.

wow. I wasn't expecting even 4 repies about LJN's. It's nice to see some other forum members are still collectors. A lot of mine are from when I was a kid as well. I just bought the mail order Slaughter on ebay, so that will be an awesome part to my collection.
Elden, do you still have your stretch wrestlers? i would love to see pics of them out of the box.

Elden, do you still have your stretch wrestlers? i would love to see pics of them out of the box. Unfortunately, no. I used to have stretch wrestlers of Paul Orndorff, Ricky Steamboat and George Steele. The Orndorff and the Steamboat broke long before I stopped collecting LJNs, so they got thrown away. (Stretch wrestlers broke very easily... they were filled with a sand-like substance, and after moderate play, they tended to rip open and the sand would pour out). I don't remember what happened to my George Steele stretch wrestler, but I am betting it tore open at some point and got trashed with the others. Some advice to collectors: If you get your hands on a stretch wrestler loose, don't even think about stretching it. If they broke that easy when they were new, imagine how brittle the plastic is after spending 20 years in someone's attic.

Elden, do you still have your stretch wrestlers? i would love to see pics of them out of the box. I still have some of them. Most of them have holes in them and have lost some of their sand, but I keep them around because I think they're cool as hell, even in that condition. I also have a mint Piper but I can't find it right now. I have it in a magazine board and backing board to TRY and keep it from cracking. Here's a shot og my LJN shelf. Not a whole lot there, but there are some of the nicer rare ones. I also have the LJN Cage and a MOC Signed Heenan and a MOC Bigelow.

Awesome, thanks for the pics. There was a Hogan stretch MOC on ebay about 2 months ago that I wanted to buy but was really collecting toyfare exclusives at the time. I haven't seen one again. I'd love to get my hands on that Haku LJN and I had forgotten all about HTM. He's another I'd like to pick up. I have been thinking of buying another LJN ring so that I can start filling it with wrestlers as well. I'll put some pics up once I figure out how to upload them to the thread.

Dude LJN's are the best. I don't have mine anymore, but I used to customize them and I've got a friend that still does. He makes every one. I'll try to send some pics. I just started getting the Jakks and stuff because I don't have the time to customize them anymore, but for playability they were the best. They just work better and the arms and legs don't get all freaky when you're making them wrestle. I saw a picture of a possible undertaker one, but he looks strange. Here's to hoping they come back out and make them right with the current and some past stars.

I have every (even variants) rubber figure loose and in played with condition. The older the sets, the less played with they were. I was in 9th grade by the time the Warrior set came out and got 2 for my birthday. For some reason I opened BOTH of them (DOH!) One I played with very rarely and one just as a display. Is there a market for these figures, even in played with condition?

Depending what type of shape the figures are in, some do sell on ebay. I have sold some in lots before, but not for huge amounts of money. MOC or mint loose get good cash.

I have almost a complete set of LJN's MOC ;D I am only missing a few commons like S.D. Jones etc. My prized possessions are my Bret Hart, Jim Niedhart and all the '89 Black carded figures. LJN's will always be my favorite line of action figures!!!

thestuff, that's an awesome collection. do you have a picture of all the MOC's displayed? how many are there in total? I don't have them displayed yet as they take up a lot of room. I have them stored in big plastic storage bins. There are 71 figures total if you count the Bulldogs and the Hasbro Sgt. Slaughter. I currently have 60 all MOC (I don't collect variants). I will try to post pics when I get a chance. ;D

i had a ton back in the day,I still occasionally find them, but the condition is usually horrible, so i pass on them. It's almost impossible to find them in good condition these days.
I picked up a HTM & Warrior last summer & tossed them on ebay, they were really nice & i'd never seen the Warrior before.
Those stretch wrestler never made it around here when i was a kid,I wanted them so bad & they never showed up & i've never even seen one loose,Thanks for those pics!

I used to collect LJN's until WWE Classic Superstars appeared through retail. I found it more affordable to collect those.
I have both 16-inch figures (Hogan & Piper), I also have the loose, mint black carded Andre, red shirt Hogan, Ultimate Warrior and Hart Foundation.
