Hey guys, I've always noticed that some replica belts, specifically the European and WWF attitude belts are innacurate due to them having the WWE logo. I know they can't use the WWF scratch logo, but they can use the WWF block logo, which has been featured on many of the other classic replica belts. I have always wished they would produce the first versions of these two belts, the blue leather, block logo version of the Attitude belt and the block logo version of the European belt (which was actually the main version and used for quite a while). Do any of you wish the same? If so please express your concerns in an email to Figures Toy Company as I just did because maybe with enough requests, they would consider producing these two versions. Thanks.

You can add the Intercontinential Title to that list. The original version of the current design had the WWF Block logo.

They're not gonna make them. The logo isn't the only thing that's different either. Both had an extra logo plate and different art between logos.

I'm sure if they really wanted to, they could make the REAL classic versions of the European, Intercontinental and Attitude World belts with the WWF block letter logo, but I highly doubt they will.

Seems as though when WWF fist converted to WWE, they'd blur out the old WWF block & scratch logo when showing old footage, now they are allowed to show the WWF BLOCK logo, but just not the WWF scratch logo. I don't get why. It was a weird agreement.

I don't get why. It was a weird agreement. Maybe because it was the scratch logo when it had to be changed? I don't really know but that could be a reason.

I don't get why. It was a weird agreement. The World Wildlife Fund actually sued to prevent the WWE from using the Block logo. The end result was the WWE won the court case and thus have no legal restraint selling items with the WWF Block logo. Thats why you don't see the block logo being blurred out. As for the scratch logo, the WWE is required to cover/blur it out.

I'd love to see block logo'd belts. But it's never gonna happen. People have been requesting them for over 10 years, and obviously we have nothing. They seem to think that what we need is $1500.00 toy belts w/ deeper engraving.
There's your proof they're completely out of touch with what anybody wants.
I noticed a few weeks ago somebody was selling some fake "Real" belts w/ the block logo for a gay price. Somewhere around 2k. If you've got the cash and are into poorly made bootlegged knockoffs, there's your shot.

What I don't get is there are unrelated companies to this day with the same name as each other and they don't sue each other. What is Vince called it the WWFE?

Suing another organization that has the same initials goes against trademark & copyright rules. Two parties can have the same initials just as long as one doesn't go into the same field as the other. In the end, the World Wildlife Fund had no justification to sue the World Wrestling Federation.

Then why did they lose and give up so easily in court?

They didn't give up very easily. The case was actually debated for a good while. I think it's stupid that they had to change the entire company name but at the same time, I cannot see the WWE today being the WWF.
The "Federation" feel, aura, atmosphere most definitely died around 2001 anyway. Wrestlemania 17 was really somewhat of a culmination in that respect, at least to me it was.
Through '02, '03, '04 and beyond, the WWE name suits the product more to me. Maybe I'm just used to it, I don't know.
Anyone else feel the same?
By the way, they did go through a length of time where the commentators would announce "World Wrestling Federation Entertainment" on-air.

I definitely agree that the name change seemed to fit the product better.
