Does anybody know how this is going to work? Will you just be able to go and buy it from Mattel's booth straight up, or will there be the "queue for tickets to be allowed to buy it, then queue at a certain time to buy it" system that Con exclusives sometimes use?

Thanks for the info. That's more to do with pre-ordering and picking up at the show, it doesn't really go into the process for someone just buying one at the show, but it might prove very helpful nonetheless.

Do scalpers hit the SDCC exclusives hard? I'm not going, but I'm getting a pal of mine who is going to pick me up one of these hopefully, and he said that buying an exclusive figure last year would have taken literally about two hours out of the day because of the way the ticketing/line system worked.

Yeah...they hit SDCC very hard. I really wouldn't worry about Taker though. 2 hours isn't much. I stood in line for almost 5 hours for the Hasbro line 2 years ago. Crazy I know...but you stand in line so long, you just figure you'll see it to the end.

Well in the link, it says Voucher pre-sale, so it's safe to assume it's voucher based.

I'd love to go so I could get Taker & the GI Joe 25th anniversary Sgt. Slaughter figure. But I live in PA so it would be quite a trip, ya know?

If anybody is going to SDCC please pick me up 2 Takers and I will pay for them. I live in NY. This would be a long ass hike for a few figs. Awesome fig though.
